Little string change in vino

2007-03-01 Thread Jonh Wendell
Hi. There is a little mistake in a vino string:

According with bug 409000
(http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=409000):

Incorrect text:
#: ../server/vino-server.schemas.in.h:6
msgid ""
"If true, remote users accessing the desktop are only allowed to view the "
"desktop. Remote user's will not be able to use the mouse or keyboard."

Should be:
#: ../server/vino-server.schemas.in.h:6
msgid ""
"If true, remote users accessing the desktop are only allowed to view the "
"desktop. Remote users will not be able to use the mouse or keyboard."

Can i fix it?

Thanks,

Isn't "share" a noun too?

2007-03-01 Thread Yair Hershkovitz
Hi,

Well lets see, 100 translators who would have to fix their .po file vs
one developer who doesn't have the patience for waiting until the string
freeze is over.

The change you want to do is doesn't affect 99% of the users and the bug
only affects English locales. I think you can safely wait.

Yair.

If you count dictionaries, share as a noun means either
"a portion of something" or stock, not in the sense of "shared folder".

With a little sed magic, all .po files could be fixed at the same time,
without any translator work..

If such change is made, remember to notify gnome-i18n since tranlators
may simply unknowingly overwrite the change with their own translation.
