[Gimp-user] Scanner source

2010-08-21 Thread John S.
I am using GIMP 2.6.10 on an iMac, Snow Leopard. I attempted to import an
image from my scanner (Brother DCP-130C) by selecting File > Create >
Scanner/camera > Select Source. The Select Source dialogue box is blank. How
do I get GIMP to recognise the sanner?
Thanks in anticipation.

Thank you for your reply, Alek S. The scanner works fine with all other
applications.

Sorry Andrew, I can't answer your question because I haven't a clue what a
"symlink" is or an"xsane binary". I went to the plug-in browser and found the
Camera plugin but the information in the right hand side is beyond my limited
knowledge.
