[gentoo-dev] testing pambase-20120417

2012-04-17 Thread Paweł Hajdan, Jr.
# Pawel Hajdan, Jr. (17 Apr 2012)
# Masked for testing and review.
>=sys-auth/pambase-20120417
>=sys-apps/shadow-4.1.5-r1
>=sys-apps/hardened-shadow-0.9-r1

Please help testing above packages (feel free to skip hardened-shadow if
you're not using it, but I'm pretty sure you have shadow and pambase on
your systems).

Maintainers, please review any changes. I can fix what you don't like in
those updates.

[gentoo-dev] Packages inside lcd herd up for grabs

2012-04-17 Thread Pacho Ramos
As lcd herd is empty for some time, these are the packages that are for
grabs now:
app-misc/g15mpd
app-misc/glcdprocdriver
app-misc/lcd-stuff
app-misc/lcd4linux
app-misc/lcdproc
dev-libs/luise-bin
dev-libs/serdisplib
media-libs/libirman

I will move them to maintainer-needed (keeping lcd herd and it CCed to
allow the herd to revive in the future more easily) in a week.

[gentoo-dev] Is gcc-4.7.0 going to be in portage tree anytime soon?

2012-04-17 Thread kabel
Hello there, I just wanted to ask when an ebuild for gcc-4.7.0 will be
in portage tree (unkeyworded, I suppose, like 4.6.0-4.6.2 are).
Thank you.

You can just follow the version bump request:
https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=409315

[gentoo-dev] Last rites: several obsolete ruby-gnome2 components

2012-04-17 Thread Hans de Graaff
# Hans de Graaff  (17 Apr 2012)
# ruby-gnome2 modules obsoleted by upstream. These are
# no longer maintained and mostly depend on gnome
# components that have been obsoleted themselves.
# bug 408251 for ruby-gtkmozembed, no specific bug
# for the other components, nothing in the tree depends
# on them.

You need to set ECHANGELOG_USER and then browse the tree to fix your
ChangeLog entries.

Cheers,
 jer

PS: I've seen this more and more the last few months. What's going on?

No, this is from the package.mask file where I typed this manually, and
apparently I can't keep my email addresses apart :-( Now fixed, thanks
for noticing.
