We discussed this issue before, because these licenses are referenced in some
third-party libraries' own NOTICE files (such as Netty).
If we delete them, then we need to modify the contents of the third-party
NOTICE files, otherwise invalid file references will be generated. So we chose
to keep these files containing the APLv2 protocol as is.

Yes, the is a CHANGE-LOG file in the binary package. The issue is just for easy

Re: [DISCUSSION] Incubating proposal of Kvrocks

2022-04-15 Thread hulk
Thanks for your comment. We will update the Kvrocks proposal accordingly to
it.

For multi-model, we also agree that we should not become a software to do
everything.
We would mainly focus on data structures that are frequently used and fit
the underlying storage.

Since you need a community to work on it, I'd suggest that you ask in the

Hello community,

Our company is considering to restart the ambari project and help it leave the
attic.

But I don’t know how to do it, I heard I need 3 incubator PMC to approve this,
But I really don’t know who is interesting about this, and what’s next step.

So I came here asking for help, if someone is interesting about this, please
contact me.

Thanks very much.

Best regards,
Zhiguo Wu.

Since @panjuan reviewed and voted +1 binding, other mentors @Kevin Ratnasekera
@Felix Cheng @vongosling would appreciate your support as well.

Thank you very much,

Learned from @Liang Chen I've submitted an
application[1] for being an IPMC
member and willing to be a mentor of this proposed podling. Looking forward
to
further cooperation.

Best,
tison.

notice file, Netty is not asf product,so it can't be removed,I checked the
NOTICE-dist.txt under the binary package,Such as Iceberg and spark,they are
ASF products and the notice of them are standard notice,I suggest to remove
them to reduce the notice file.

For example, the NOTICE file of iceberg[2], I found that the only content that

Hi, Mingyu,if iceberg NOTICE is not standard NOTICE file,I think it's
necessary to modify it.

The Apache standard NOTICE could be removed in the NOTICE,

Such as the following text,if they are the ASF products,they can be removed
to reduce the NOTICE file.

```
=
 Notice file for: spark-core_2.12-2.4.6
=
Spark Project Core
Copyright 2020 The Apache Software Foundation
This product includes software developed at
The Apache Software Foundation (http://www.apache.org/).
=
 Notice file for: httpcore-4.4.15
=
Apache HttpCore
Copyright 2005-2021 The Apache Software Foundation
This product includes software developed at
The Apache Software Foundation (http://www.apache.org/).
