[IP-CLEARANCE] "brooklyn-ui-angular" contribution of new UI to Apache Brooklyn
Hi Incubator PMC, // cc dev@brooklyn The top-level Apache Brooklyn project has been donated code for a new UI, being referred to as "brooklyn-ui-angular". This is the formal request for IP clearance to be checked as per [1]. The donated code can be found at [2] (*), along with links to the completed (but for vote email records) XML and HTML clearance records [3] detailing the grant form and other compliance requirements. Thanks in advance, Alex [1] https://incubator.apache.org/ip-clearance/ip-clearance-template.html#form-filling [2] https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INCUBATOR-214 [3] http://svn.apache.org/viewvc/incubator/public/trunk/content/ip-clearance/brooklyn-ui-angular.xml?view=markup (*) The "incubator drop area (/repos/asf/incubator/donations)" referred to in step 5 of the instructions at [1] does not exist (svn: E17 -- URL doesn't exist), and I saw a few issues where it had been attached to a Jira issue, so that's what I've done. If there is a better method please accept my apologies and advise.
[ANNOUNCE] Apache OpenWhisk, main module (incubating) 0.9.0 released
Hi everyone, We are pleased to announce that Apache OpenWhisk, main module (incubating) 0.9.0 is released. OpenWhisk is a cloud-first distributed event-based programming service. It provides a programming model to upload event handlers to a cloud service, and register the handlers to respond to various events. This is the first time that OpenWhisk is released under Apache as an incubator project. The download links of the current release is available at: https://openwhisk.apache.org/downloads.html Vincent Hou On behalf of the OpenWhisk team = *DISCLAIMER* Apache OpenWhisk (incubating) is an effort undergoing incubation at The Apache Software Foundation (ASF), sponsored by Incubator. Incubation is required of all newly accepted projects until a further review indicates that the infrastructure, communications, and decision making process have stabilized in a manner consistent with other successful ASF projects. While incubation status is not necessarily a reflection of the completeness or stability of the code, it does indicate that the project has yet to be fully endorsed by the ASF. - To unsubscribe, e-mail: general-unsubscr...@incubator.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: general-h...@incubator.apache.org
[VOTE] Release Apache NetBeans 9.0 (incubating) [vote candidate 3]
Hi all, The Apache NetBeans community has voted on and approved a proposal to release Apache NetBeans 9.0 (incubating) [vc3]. We now kindly request that the Incubator PMC members review and vote on this incubator release candidate. Vote thread: https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/a644bb8e3ba2cbd06328bb004f1b18b4171763cd3d78a9131615f687@%3Cdev.netbeans.apache.org%3E Vote result thread: https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/31f8a8fd70dc2ba635c6a67693c512ed9e5b30af99fbe79afe55293b@%3Cdev.netbeans.apache.org%3E In the above, note there are two IPMC binding votes from Ate Douma and Bertrand Delacretaz, both Apache NetBeans (incubating) mentors, 11 PPMC votes and 16 Apache NetBeans community votes. Apache NetBeans 9.0 (incubating) constitutes all the modules in the Apache NetBeans Git repo, which together provide the NetBeans Platform (i.e., the underlying application framework), as well as all the modules that provide the Java SE-related features of Apache NetBeans. In short, Apache NetBeans 9.0 (incubating) is a full IDE for Java SE development. Download the artifact to be voted on and unzip it. 2. Verify the cryptographic signatures, the NOTICE and LICENSE file 3. Build it using the README provided by the artifact. 4. Look in nbbuild/netbeans for the NetBeans installation created by the build process. 5. Run the NetBeans executable and (if you're running on JDK 8) you'll be prompted to install nb-javac, after agreeing to its licensing terms, and (if you're running on JDK 9), you'll be able to use javac directly from JDK 9 and, optionally, you'll be prompted to install nb-javac, after agreeing to its licensing terms. If the above succeeds, vote +1 in this thread. Please try out the package, using the instructions above, and vote! The vote is open for 5 days.
