[Freesurfer] TKSURFER error- open GL in Fedora
Hi, I can't seem to run tksurfer in Fedora 7. We are using a Wacom Tablet monitor, and since we installed it, we cannot run tksurfer. We get the following error: surfer: ### redraw failed: no gl window open surfer: single buffered window surfer: tkoInitWindow(fsaverage) Can't create a context! surfer: failed, trying double buffered window Can't create a context! surfer: failed, no suitable display found Does anyone know how to go about this? massih ___ Freesurfer mailing list Freesurfer@nmr.mgh.harvard.edu https://mail.nmr.mgh.harvard.edu/mailman/listinfo/freesurfer
[Freesurfer] Question about cortical surface area
Hi everyone, I had two questions: 1) I was wondering if it's ok to run a glm to compare cortical surface areas between two groups on a vertex-wide basis (just like a thickness analysis). Or is it better to extract the area of a label (as is the output of mri_anatomical_stats)? 2) The mri_anatomical_stats output includes 4 measures of curvature: MeanCurv, GausCurv, Van Essen Folding index and Curvature Index. There was some discussion as to which of these was most appropriate for comparing sulcal folding (that is, essentially what they measure, correct?)- was there ever any final consensus? Thank you. [Freesurfer] Acquisition/pipeline question
External Email - Use Caution Hi, We’re collecting multiecho T1s. We have individual T1 images with different echoes, and the RMS files. I’ve run freesurfer using both the RMS files, and the multiple echo files (labelled as 001, 002…). I get slightly different results in the parcellation outcomes with the two different methods. Why would that be? What do you recommend for input — the RMS file, or the individual echo files?
