--- Comment #2 from duchateau.oliv...@gmail.com ---
This update needs to be merged **only** in quarterly 2017Q3, because bug
#220805 is major upgrade (tumbler was ported to GDbus, it's new API) whereas
0.1.x releases still uses DBus GLib).

Rebuild or update is required, because tumbler uses new API (GDbus instead of

I don't use anymore this plugin, I've got problem with my sound card (I think
it's pin jack not well recognized).

xfce4-pulseaudio-plugin is only a daemon, devices, names and so on are
displayed by pavucontrol (PulseAudio client). On FreeBSD it is very succinct
unlike on Linux.

An update is also available [1], it works better with deskutils/xfce4-notifyd
0.3.6

About updates of deskutils/xfce4-tumbler

2017-07-17 Thread Olivier Duchateau
Hi,

Today, I submitted an update of deskutils/xfce4-tumbler to 0.2.0 [1]. It's a
major update (tumblerd now use GDbus instead of DBus Glib as < 0.1.9x
releases). Personally I used devel releases for while without problem. If you
will use this release, you should rebuild Thunar (an update [2] is also
available).

Neverless if you don't want to rebuild Thunar, you can use previous patch (for
0.1.32 [3]). I suggest this version if you use the quarterly branch.

No, pavucontrol is not part of PulseAudio, but it displays more "humanly" as
sound server (PulseAudio).
