need help with fix for port cad/salome-gui

2012-09-03 Thread Stas Timokhin
Hello !

My port cad/salome-gui broken after updating VTK to 5.8.0 (at September
2011). I made some fix (DoubleRadiansToDegrees to DegreesFromRadians), but my
skills isn't enough for full repair of port.

Can anybody help me with it ?

Has the building of those ports worked before with clang(1)? There are
still quite a few ports that rely on gcc's pecularities that clang can
not yet do. Use exceptions in /etc/make.conf for ports that fail to
build with clang, for example this is what I have to use for
sysutils/lsof:

.if ${.CURDIR:M*/sysutils/lsof}
CC=gcc
CXX=g++
CPP=gcc -E
.endif

You are correct about --win32codecsdir. That one has moved to
--codecsdir, I'll change that.
The other three are coming from the ports infrastructure and mplayer
just does not use them.

What exactly do you mean? If WITH_BASE_CLANG is defined, all the extra
gcc tricks are ignored as they are in the else branch.

This looks like some sort of trouble with the inline assembly, which may
not work with the version of clang you are using. I will have a look at
which version you will minimally need. Meanwhile, you can attempt to
use -no-integrated-as for the files containing the inline assembly.

clang -v
FreeBSD clang version 3.2 (trunk 162107) 20120817
Target: x86_64-unknown-freebsd10.0

I have been building Firefox-nightly with gcc48 for several months with
(USE_GCC=4.8+ in makefile). It stopped working recently (I believe the
project switched to clang recently and now gcc is not working).

cc -v
Using built-in specs.
Target: amd64-undermydesk-freebsd
Configured with: FreeBSD/amd64 system compiler
Thread model: posix
gcc version 4.2.1 20070831 patched [FreeBSD]

I use the base compiler for world and most ports, I do not want to change
at this time. So, my question is how can I tell Firefox-nightly to use
clang? Is there an equivalent to USE_GCC=4.8+ for clang that I can put in
the makefile? I want to use clang to compile this specific port, and let
the base compiler build the rest.

Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.

*Defining* WITH_PKGNG enables it. This is very common with ports
infrastructure. Remove this from your make.conf to not use pkgng.

This is not a portupgrade problem.

These errors are a problem with bsd.port.mk. I've been meaning to write
