Re: oce4 promiscous mode bug and carp
BTW, there is open bug since 2015 without apparent interest to it. https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=204326 I can confirm the bug and patch on several/all Systems. For anyone who is interessted: CARP will be unable to handle traffic because of the virtual mac addresses of the vhid's. The frames for the vmacs will be dropped at hardware. The Patch should be pushed urgently upstream to the release versions. Fun Fact: the email contact in the oce manpage is not available anymore. I've contacted Broadcom. But there is still no response. ___ freebsd-net@freebsd.org mailing list https://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-net To unsubscribe, send any mail to "freebsd-net-unsubscr...@freebsd.org"
[Bug 204326] [patch] sys/dev/oce bugged promiscuous mode
https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=204326 --- Comment #3 from m...@maltedoc.de --- (In reply to mg from comment #2) The bug is affecting ALL FreeBSD Versions and makes CARP and promise unusable. This is an enterprise server nic. So the severity of upstreaming the patch should be increased. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ freebsd-net@freebsd.org mailing list https://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-net To unsubscribe, send any mail to "freebsd-net-unsubscr...@freebsd.org"

Re: RSS_UDP_IPV4_EX?
Hi, I seem to recall it was something some chipsets supported? I forget the details. -adrian On 30 August 2017 at 00:07, Sepherosa Ziehau wrote: > IPv4 UDP with extended headers o_O?
