lz4 is a hard dependency listed in meson.build. graphene is not explicitly
listed as a dependency but is only referenced when GTK4 is enabled, through
graphene-glue.hh, introspection and vala bindings.

I'll take care of the these. The OPTIONS are a little jacked up after upstream
enabled the gtk4 option by default and *_MESON_* need fixed anyway. armv7 stuff
can continue to be figured out separately, especially with bug 281083's
qualification.

There's a typo (well maybe that's slightly generous :-) ) in the Makefile now:

liblz4.so:archivers/lz4

should read:

liblz4.so:archivers/liblz4

Building with "synth" detects this:

x11-toolkits/vte3 scan aborted because dependency could not be located.
liblz4.so:archivers/lz4 (required dependency of x11-toolkits/vte3) does not
exist.
Scan of x11/xfce4-terminal failed, it will not be considered.

[EWG] [LDWG] [FBSD_LDWG] (272902) Laptop Project: Wi-Fi privacy/security: clear-text passwords for WPA-EAP e.g. eduroam

2025-01-11 Thread Graham Perrin
I'd like the Foundation to have an issue (story) for this in its Laptop
Project, .

In

for wpa_supplicant.conf(5), the example for eduroam uses a clear text
password.

I'm not aware of a method to have the password saved without clear text.

The password should be truly private, for my eyes only. Not for the eyes
of any other administrator of an installation of FreeBSD.

 was mentioned
in an Enterprise Working Group (EWG) context in FreeBSD Discord in
August 2023,
.

Thanks

FreeBSD ports you maintain which are out of date

2025-01-11 Thread portscout
Dear port maintainer,

The portscout new distfile checker has detected that one or more of your
ports appears to be out of date. Please take the opportunity to check
each of the ports listed below, and if possible and appropriate,
submit/commit an update. If any ports have already been updated, you can
safely ignore the entry.

You will not be e-mailed again for any of the port/version combinations
below.

Full details can be found at the following URL:
http://portscout.freebsd.org/desk...@freebsd.org.html

Port| Current version | New version
+-+
accessibility/at-spi2-core | 2.54.0 | 2.54.1

If any of the above results are invalid, please check the following page
for details on how to improve portscout's detection and selection of
distfiles on a per-port basis:
