ViBRA16X Problems again after a make world yesterday

2000-01-12 Thread Jeremy L. Stock

I haven't seen any reports of this yet. After a make world yesterday, I hear
stuttered sound from RealPlayer G2 and xmms won't play anything at all. I
tried to figure out when it was broken but didn't have any luck. It worked
fine after my last make world on December 27th.

Creative ViBRA16X Problem (fwd)

2000-01-21 Thread Jeremy L. Stock

Thought I'd post this to -current also since it gives a little more detail
(I hope). I can't believe I'm the only one experiencing this since it's
still around when I do a fresh install from a snapshot. Not a huge deal for
me since I can use Windows for audio, but I'd rather use FreeBSD again. I'm
sure this will get addressed before 4.0R. I just wanted to make sure it's a
known issue.

Subject: Creative ViBRA16X Problem

I posted this on -current almost a week ago and only received one response
that didn't solve the problem. Audio hasn't played correctly for me since
December 27th. Now when I try to play audio, it just stutters.

I'm not sure when it broke since I went from -current as of the 27th to
-current as of the 11th and now earlier today. The problem still remains
even after a total reinstall.

I just wanted to make sure you were aware of it and make sure you had a
chance to correct it before 4.0R. Here's some info. Let me know if
you need anything else.

ATA Driver Problem

1999-09-27 Thread Jeremy L. Stock

I have two hard drives both Western Digital 8.4GB (primary master) 6.4GB
(primary slave) and a CDROM as secondary master. The driver detects the
8.4GB and my cdrom but doesn't seem to see the second hd at all. I'd provide
more info if I could but / lives on the second drive so I'm not sure if
I can provide any concrete details. I used the config example in LINT for
the driver.

Fairly positive I have the latest versions. I cvsup'ed twice yesterday. I
forgot to mention my motherboard is an ASUS P5-AB if it matters at all.

Anything else I should look at?
