Hi, you can configure Evolution to not mark message as read after you select the folder (like for cases when it selects the oldest unread message, because it was unable to find the previous selection). That's influenced by: $ gsettings set org.gnome.evolution.mail mark-seen-always false where the 'false' is the default. > And it's not only about read/unread messages, but also about > autoselection of the last message displayed. I'm not aware of a way to change this behavior. While the use-case makes sense for you, it may not for others, or for me at least. When I search for a message and clear the filtering, I want to stay on that found message. Even when I move away from that folder and return back. When I want to move to the next/previous unread message quickly I use Ctrl+]/Ctrl+[. I would not add an option for the behavior you suggest. To subscribe to a folder of other user evolution-ews needs to know: a) which user, b) which folder. That's why there are two entries, not only one. Instead of picking "Inbox/Calendar/..." from the offered list of known standard folders, you use the folder ID. I use Evo email to do my client billing and often I am working back through a the work I did in the previous month and have to switch between the Calendar and email panes (I appreciate I can open separate windows with one for email and one for calendar but often for various reasons don't do that) and it's extremely useful to me that Evo remembers the previously selected email when I go back to the emails from the calendar or wherever else. So if anyone is wanting this behaviour changed could you make it a setting so that I can revert it to its current behaviour. Re: [Evolution] Additional Mailbox with ews in Evolution with an unindexed mailbox
:-o [ohhh] it's actually a menu list field *with text input*. That's what I've missed ! (I thought I had only the choice in between what was on the drop down menu list. I guess i'm not the only one to have missed that subtle GUI detail. Consider that a tool tip or a small text explanation under the field could help people here. I pasted the folder ID, then it the "User:" field i've put the special unindexed mailbox which autocomplete and it didn't work. I've then tried with my proper email and that went ok. Thanks for the help Milan 👍 Regards, Vincent. Hi, to delete/cancel an instance of a recurring event, that deleted/cancelled instance should be recorded somewhere. It's done by an "exception". This exception can have a replacement (a detached instance) or not. When it doesn't, then the instance is not shown in the view. The 3.34.2 (where this is fixed) is planned around the last week in November, which is quite far away from today. I do not know whether you've a chance to apply custom patches to Evolution, or whether you can ask your distro maintainer to do it for you, to give the change a try. Even though the 3.34.2 would be better, due to other semi-related changes landing there as well. Hi, do you mean "when deleted by other program, like Outlook"? If so, then yes, it doesn't matter what program deleted it, the bug was in processing of the data saved on the server by evolution-data-server.
