Out of interest, why not just use OAuth2 for email? Other components of gmail, such as addressbook and calendar, already require the use of OAuth2 and I can see the mail component also going that way before long. (BTW, if you are using the addressbook, that might be why it keeps reverting back.) Re: [Evolution] Evolution & Gmail not working correctly
okay, well I think that 0auth2 is working okay for email (?) I was able to fetch my email today, and when I checked the settings, it had reverted back to 0Auth2 I think the real issue is for the Calendar (?) this is what the red warning bar in Evolution is showing: Data source "(my email)" does not support 0Auth2.0 authentication How do I check the EDS? where is it? I checked my google account, and Evolution is granted access to my account (mail, calendar and contacts) On Sun, 2018-09-30 at 12:35 -0600, coreefdiver via evolution-list wrote: > okay, well I think that 0auth2 is working okay for email (?) > I was able to fetch my email today, and when I checked the settings, > it > had reverted back to 0Auth2 > > I think the real issue is for the Calendar (?) > > this is what the red warning bar in Evolution is showing: > > >Data source "(my email)" does not support 0Auth2.0 authentication > > > How do I check the EDS? where is it? > > > On Sun, 2018-09-30 at 16:40 +0100, Pete Biggs wrote: > > On Sat, 2018-09-29 at 21:27 -0600, coreefdiver via evolution-list > > wrote: > > > still not working > > > > > > I set it to PW email works for a day (~) then it reverts back to > > > complaining about not able to use 0Auth2 > > > > > > > > > I have the latest, right (?) > > > > > > 3.28.5-0ubuntu0.18.04.1 > > > > Yes, and make sure the other evolution components such as > > evolution- > > data-server are also on that version (and that they are in use). > > > > Out of interest, why not just use OAuth2 for email?
