[Evolution] Mail sent from gmail.com arriving severely truncated
This refers to evolution 3.16.0 running under Ubuntu 15.04. One of my vendors uses gmail. Since the afternoon of 29 May, his e-mail have been coming in severely truncated. My secretary has also received a copy of those same e-mails. She is using evolution 3.10.4 running under Ubuntu 14.04. On her PC, they come our perfectly. Webmail also shows perfectly. Message source and header for my copy are: X-evolution-source: 1429013194.3040.100@johnh-Vostro-3500 X-Evolution-Source: 1429013194.3040.100@johnh-Vostro-3500 Date: Mon, 01 Jun 2015 13:47:36 -0400 Subject: No Subject Message-ID: <1433180856.21525.11.camel@john-Vostro-3500> Mime-Version: 1.0 From: john___ evolution-list mailing list evolution-list@gnome.org To change your list options or unsubscribe, visit ... https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/evolution-list

And why do you think this a problem with Evolution? Did you update your system on May 28/29 or why do you see a relation? andre -- Andre Klapper | ak...@gmx.net http://blogs.gnome.org/aklapper/ ___ evolution-list mailing list evolution-list@gnome.org To change your list options or unsubscribe, visit ... https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/evolution-list
[Evolution] Messages sent from web links not saved in 'sent' folder
Ubuntu 14.04.2 LTS, Evo 3.12.11 - If I send a message from a 'contact us' link on a webpage the sent message is not saved anywhere on my machine that I can find. Is there a reason for this or is this a bug in 3.12.*? Hi, does anything change if you move away from the message and then back to it? I think I see something similar from time to time, but so rarely that I cannot debug it. When I select a message which is not downloaded yet, it downloads, but the message preview shows it basically empty, with almost no details, nothing. Then I move away from the message in the message list and back, the message is re-downloaded and shown properly. Maybe it's something similar for you. > Message-ID: <1433180856.21525.11.camel@john-Vostro-3500> Search for the above message ID in your ~/.cache/evolution/mail and delete the message (not folders.db file) which contains it. That will force re-download in case the simple "move away and back" won't work. Theen select the message in the Evolution's UI. I would also try to decrease concurrent connections for that account, it's in Edit->Preferences->Mail Accounts->->Receiving Options tab. Check evolution's console (tun it from a terminal) for any runtime warnings, maybe there's shown a hint. [Evolution] IMAP Shared Folders
I have a Courier mail server and have access via shared folders ("virtual" rather than filesystem-based) to another account's folders. Sorry to compare to Thunderbird but these folders work with that client, but in Evolution (3.16.2.1 on Fedora22) sometimes they fail to show and the "#shared" folder is empty. Is such shared folder supported fully in Evolution? Hi, yes, it is supported, but some servers can return inaccurate data. For example, there was done a change for a Cyrus server recently, at [1], to not get lost the shared folders. I do not have a courier server instance, thus I cannot test it, but maybe this is a similar issue. Maybe if you could join the bug [1], then we'll follow the investigation there.
