[Evolution] Message read/un-read problem
Hi, After reading a mail using the preview window the message is displayed as "read", i.e. with the colour "grey". But after a while (the next "check for new messages"???) the message is displayed again as "unread", i.e. with the colour "black". Does anyone recognise this? Is this a known feature a.k.a. bug? Is there something I can do about this (very annoying) behaviour? I am using Evolution 3.12.7 on Debian Jessie and my IMAP e-mail server is Dovecot. Note: Icedove (Thunderbird) does not exhibit this behaviour, so I assume that Dovecot is not to blame). This is a feature for people who have other needs, e.g. for business, were even top posting and HTML is wide spread. It's not the default for Evolution or any other MUA I ever used or tested on Linux. You can quote everything if you reply to your friends, business partners etc., but please never miss to trim mails, if you reply to a mailing list or when replying off-list to mailing list members. [Evolution] When starting Evo opens at top of message list instead of bottom
Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS, Gnome 3.12.2, Evolution 3.12.8 - hopefully a little better explanation of the subject. Anytime Evo is started it opens at the very first message no matter what folder is opened on startup. For instance if I have 1000 messages in my Inbox it will open at the very first message in the list, if I were to drop down and open the folder for this list it will then be at the last message received. Going back up to Inbox and opening it will then open at the last message received as I would think it should be. I've noticed this in 3.12.6/.7/.8. Maybe this is as it should be, I'm not really sure. One other note is that I'm running this using a local IMAP setup. [Evolution] IMAP daemon keeps logging out and in since upgrade to Evo 3.12.8
Ubuntu 14.04.LTS, Gnome 3.12.2, Evo 3.12.8. The update to 3.12.8 was made yesterday approximately 16:35 immediately after that I started seeing this in my syslog snippets: http://pastebin.com/UWKJWB7g and has continued like this through 22:00 this evening. Seeing as this started immediately after the update I'd have to say it was something in Evolution causing this. Anyone have any suggestions? I can run debug commands and paste to pastebin if anyone wants to see them.
