[Evolution] lookup S/Mime encryption certificates over LDAP?
Hi everyone Is there a way to make Evolution lookup for Recipient S/Mime Encryption Certificates (aka PublicKeys) from a LDAP addressbook when sending an encrypted mail? Or may be over an "LDAP Keyserver" which is technically the same (more or less)... If not, is there a Bug/FeatureRequest on this to follow the progress and/or a planned release date? context: The procedure of fetching S/Mime certifcates (aka PublicKeys) for recipients has become a kind of standard for many (enterprise/automated) secure mail solutions to provide senders with valid PublicKeys on S/Mime basis... so i guess this is feature that gets more and more requested in future... ...which brings me to the question: Is there any eMail/Groupware client for Linux systems out there that supports Exchange-EWS Connectivity and S/Mime incl. certificate (PublicKey) lookup from LDAP..? thanks in advance for any information -RHE ___ evolution-list mailing list evolution-list@gnome.org To change your list options or unsubscribe, visit ... https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/evolution-list

[Evolution] 3.12.5: Failed to refresh folder "INBOX",
After upgrading to 3.12.5 from Fedora 20 copr repository a connection to one of IMAP servers always results in error, shown above message list: Failed to refresh folder "INBOX", The reported error was "Error syncing changes: Invalid flag specified ". [Evolution] indefinite network connection timeouts, again
Every time I start my 3.12.5 (Fedora 20 copr repository) "Refreshing folder.." status messages with animated foot stay indefinitely. The workaround is to select File->Work Offline, kill evolution process (it does not exit upon File->Exit) by sending two kill signals in a row, restart evolution and switch to online mode. I've been reporting different indefinite timeouts for several years and releases with neither debug nor workaround solution offered. Needless to say that other mail clients don't exhibit any network problems on the same system... Re: [Evolution] indefinite network connection timeouts, again
Eugene, I don't connect to your mail servers, but my F20 install of evolutions has been very stable for a variety of POP and IMAP servers. I hate to say it, however it might be the servers you are connecting with... I just wanted to boost your confidence in the Evolution version in Fedora 20. Re: [Evolution] 3.12.5: Failed to refresh folder "INBOX",

I guess, if the error message is returned from the server, then you might see in the log only the "Invalid flag specified" text (without the quotes). If we are talking about IMAP, then: $ CAMEL_DEBUG=imapx evolution &>log.txt is all you can get from the debugging of IMAP connection. Usually $ CAMEL_DEBUG=imapx:io evolution &>log.txt is sufficient, because it shows only the communication between the server and the client, without additional buzz. The logs always contain private information, like message content and server addresses. What is the server you are connecting too? In case it's an Exchange server, or any other which doesn't allow custom flags being stored on the server, then your issue might be addressed by this bug report: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=735191 which landed in time of 3.12.6. Please follow [1]. Please submit a bug report with the content of `logfile` from the command below and mention the report number and URL in your reply. CAMEL_DEBUG=all evolution >& logfile Should it hang again, please do $ ps aux | grep evolution # look at PID of Evolution process $ gdb --pid evolution-pid # substitute evolution-pid with the PID \ from above Please make sure you have the debug packages installed in Fedora. In the GDB command line, do the following. (gdb) set logging on /tmp/20141009--evolution-hang-taabtf.txt (gdb) t a a bt f (gdb) exit Please look at `tmp/20141009--evolution-hang-taabtf.txt` to not contain any passwords (it should not) and paste the content of the file into the comment of your bug report. > Needless to say that other mail clients don't exhibit any network > problems on the same system... That’s a good indication that Evolution can be fixed.
