I'm creating that log now. It will be very big, and a lot of information is not
for everybody to see. Is there something I can search for in the log file, to
create a smaller one to send to the list?

PLEASE ***STOP*** MUCKING ABOUT IN ~/.local/

You will not fix things by moving things around in there.

You can delete everything in
~/.local/share/evolution/mail/imap/'my_account' [with Evolution stopped]
and restart evolution and that part will rebuild. The configuration for
the account is in gconf.

If you run Seahorse can you access your keyring? I don't recall if you
ever answered that question [maybe you did].

Probably only the last bits [before the error] mean anything.

OK, I will try not to do this.

OK!

If you run Seahorse can you access your keyring? I don't recall if you

I have now installed seahorse and I don't find any keyring there or anything
related to my IMAP account (only another POP account).
And there are only passwords there no personal keys or other keys.

Should I send an edited version? I have now reduced it from 40M to 50k, but it
is still large.

your messages are really hard to read as quotes are not shown as quotes
and as I therefore cannot see who has written what.

Any possibility to fix this?

Maybe there is a encryption algotritm that is not supported by evo?

This may seem a strange question, but what locale is your system? If
it's not English, what is the translation for "default" in your local
language? (I did ask you this before, but you never bothered to answer

[Evolution] [ANNOUNCE] Evolution-EWS (Exchange Web Services) Alpha release

2011-04-19 Thread David Woodhouse
Exchange Web Services is the SOAP-based protocol that obsoletes MAPI, as
of Exchange 2007.

We are pleased to finally announce that the EWS support for Evolution
has reached our Alpha milestone.

It can be downloaded from
ftp://ftp.infradead.org/pub/evolution-ews/

... or from the git repository at
git://git.infradead.org/evolution-ews.git
http://git.infradead.org/evolution-ews.git

The same code will work with *both* Evolution 2.32 and Evolution 3.0
(and master).

At this point, it should be fully functional for email. You can read and
delete messages, create/copy/rename/move/delete folders, and the
read/answered/forwarded state of messages should be synchronised back to
the server correctly. Completion of addresses from the Exchange
directory (GAL) is also working.

Read-only calendar functionality is also working — you can view your
calendar and any attachments there may be on calendar entries.

We will be working on completing the rest of the calendar read/write
functionality, and also on the *personal* addressbooks which are not
currently supported.

Testers and developers welcome...

What version of GNOME keyring do you have? I'd wager this is an
unsupported crypt type. HKDF has been a topic of conversation on the
keyring lists recently

My locale is C:
LC_ALL=C
LANG=en_US.UTF-8

I did not consider the local language question important, that's why I
didn't reply. My local language is Swedish. "default" is "förvalt värde"
or "förinställt värde" according to my dictionary. I think we use
"default" as well.

BTW: I saw on another box (this one) that GNOME_KEYRING_CONTROL was set
to /tmp/directory/ but not on the problematic one. Does this affect
things? How to restart the gnome-keyring-daemon? Did not find anything
in /etc/init.d

The version is from Debian unstable:

GNOME keyring services (daemon and tools)

Same as on the box where everything works (had used it for a long time

Well, if you only have to do it every once and a while, you could save
the message to a file, edit the file with your favorite text editor,
i.e. the line which starts with "Subject:" and reimport it into
evolution, file->import.
