Thanks to all who contributed to the Evolution 2.26 release.

That's great news!

I am using ubuntu 9.04 alpha. And evolution 2.26.0 is already in the
repository and updated.

What is new in 2.26
===

Exchange MAPI - connector to connect to Exchange 2007 server
I have not been able to successfully create a exchange 2007 account
using the MAPI plugin, i kept getting this error:
Logging into the server... MapiLogonProvider:
MAPI_E_NETWORK_ERROR (0x80040115)

What could possibly be the problem?

PST import plugin.

I am currently using 2.26 but can't find any menu or option to import
PST files. Is there any documentation available for this operation?

Calendar performance fixes in view.

and nearly 400 bug fixes and 30 crasher fixes.

Thanks a lot!!

Re: [Evolution] evolution-2.25.5 + evolution-mapi-0.25.5: error on start up

2009-03-19 Thread Kardiel

Not sure if you are still looking for a solution. But, just in case...and in
case anyone else runs into the same problem.

I ran into a similar problem but with version 2.24.5 and here is what I
found out. In my bonobo-activation-server.xml file there were several
entries. The last one was where I had installed my compiled Evolution (my
$PREFIX directory). Apparently bonobo found a version of the Evolution
files in a prior entry int the XML config file. I was able to remove the
prior directory from the XML file to enable my Evolution to successfully run
(with the right dependencies), but I'd guess that you could also just change
the order of the entries in the XML file as well.

Hope that helps.

Chris

The PST-importer plugin depends on libpst1; libpst1 has not yet reached
the repositories.

After libpst1 is put available, Evolution will have to be rebuild
against it (say, this would make it evolution-2.26.0-0ubuntu3, or the
like).

Heh. I submitted the libpst package some time ago [1, 2], and it is in
the waiting queue for approval.

When this will actually happen... I do not know. I hope... in time for
Jaunty.

The PST-importer plugin depends on libpst1; libpst1 has not yet
reached the repositories.

I have installed libpst1 from PPA. How shall I enable the PST import
plugin in Evolution?

After libpst1 is put available, Evolution will have to be rebuild
against it (say, this would make it evolution-2.26.0-0ubuntu3, or
the like).

Or you are saying that the only way is to build from the sources listed
on lauchpad [1] ?
