Re: [Evolution] What happened to alarm notify and clock integration?

2007-11-19 Thread Marcus Senna Borges de Barros
I have the same problem here, with evo 2.12.1 (just updated) on Ubuntu
Gutsy, accessing an exchange server.

Too bad it isn working anymore. I considered this one of the biggest
advantages over Outlook/Windows.

Hello,
please check if you've checked in Edit->Preferences->Calendar and Tasks,
tab "Alarms" your Exchange account. Just in case... Otherwise I don't
know what's going wrong for you, it works for me, so maybe this option
will help you.

In desperation I've now followed the instructions here:
http://www.go-evolution.org/FAQ#How_can_I_completely_backup_evolution.3F (from a
backup machine) and attempted to use the restore function the Setup Assisstant,
no dice!

This is a complete disaster for me, I use evolution intensively for work - if
anyone can shed some light on why evolution might be behaving like this and how
to get my new install of evolution to recognise my old configs and files it
would really help.

Thanks,
M.

This has been requested for years (including by me) and nothing has
happened. At the very least I'd like to see the standard set of folders
such as Inbox, Sent, Junk and Drafts sorted at the top.

Just to remind people once again, thhere is a useful Evo FAQ at:

It seems to have had new material added recently, which is good.

It is a feature.

I faced it sometime back and found that it will be caused when bbdb
(automatic contacts plugin) is working in full-swing.

This is obviously a problem and am planning to take the sync-part out of
preferences-launching. This should be in 2.22 series soon.

Anyways, to make sure what you are facing is the same issue, can you
attach to gdb and get traces when you face the delay after you click on
preferences ?
