Re: [Evolution] 24 hour clock?

Go one further: put it in .bashrc (and, assuming you source .bashrc from .bash_profile, it'll run no matter what) so that regardless of how you execute Evolution (command line, Alt-F2 Run Dialog, a Launcher, a Menu, etc) your preferences will be set. I use "en_DK" to get the time format 24 hour. export LANG=en_CA.UTF-8 export LC_TIME=en_DK export LC_MESSAGES=C That is, * Canadian English is my language; UTF-8 enabled. * Use "en_DK" (god knows where that came from) but it seems to do dates and times properly, as opposed to that 12 hour nonsense. Yes, that sure seems like an ugly hack. * The last one is because I'm happy with the default untranslated (usually English) strings in most programs. I ran into problems, otherwise. This whole thing has always struck me as a bit unconfigurable; localization is founded on the idea that there is a "right" way for different locations/cultures, but frankly this a bit ludicrous; even still I haven't found a way to format the date in the clock applet, for example. {sigh}. [Evolution] Voting buttons
Hi, Ive asked this before, but Ill try again. Does anyone know how Exchange and Outlook exchange voting button information? Its the only thing I dont have when using Evo instead of Outlook. Its not in the web interface and thus not presented in Evo. Im willing to try and implement the function if someone can direct me to some information. [Evolution] PDA with Evo & others on OpenSUSE 10.2
Hi all, who uses which PDA with Evo? I need a PDA combined with a GSM Mobile in Germany's mobile phone networks, connected to OpenSUSE 10.2 for the synchronisation. NO M$-WinCE based system, I am just dumping my HP iPAQ with WinCE 3 (It's docking bay connector is intermittent). ActiveSync never worked properly! :-) Al ___ Evolution-list mailing list Evolution-list@gnome.org http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/evolution-list
[Evolution] moving data from one machine to another
I've had a look about but to no avail. I suspect there will be a FAQ on this or it's been answered before so all pointers welcome! I've machine-A running Evolution (2.6?) and now have a new machine-B running Evolution 2.10. I wish to copy the Contacts and Calendar from machine-A to machine-B so how do I do this? (I don't need to move Emails since they're IMAP) Many thanks, Michael ___ Evolution-list mailing list Evolution-list@gnome.org http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/evolution-list

If your PDA / phone can sync over-the-air to a web site, then ScheduleWorld looks like an interesting solution - you can use 'SyncEvolution' to sync the calendar and contacts to ScheduleWorld, then use a syncml client to sync your PDA. I am currently syncing to copies of Evo and a Google Calendar successfully using this mechanism and I intend to extend it to my Blackberry when I get it in a few days. Re: [Evolution] PDA with Evo & others on OpenSUSE 10.2
I use a Treo 650 with Evolution. It syncs nicely with Evolution 2.10.1. The only thing that produces a reproducible crash is when syncing notes. Calendar, memo and contacts work perfectly.
