Hi emmanuelle,

I found the quickest way to get back online is to just
rename .evolution. If you had a lot of Filters to other sub-directories
and search filters, they will be gone. If you kept all the mails on the
server, you will get them again. I found it helpful to keep mails on the
server, because space does not matter anymore and I can get on the
server with other systems at the office and at home, and also remotely
via webmail too. If my mail client packs up, I can recover my mails
easily again after a new setup of the client.

I've been having a lot of problems also since yesterday. Adding some
search folders often caused an error saying something to the effect that
"the folder did not exist" (not sure anymore). Then in the afternoon I
restarted the system after increasing volume sizes of some directories
to larger drives, also to /home/. Once the mapping did not work
because the mapping order was wrong (/home//Data
before /home/ where the mount point is located, i.e. the Data
could not map because there was no /home//Data mount point yet).
Evolution usually starts with logon. This time it did not, because there
was no /home//Data/.evolution directory. After the mappings were
done correctly, Evolution just did not start anymore. I checked owner
and access rights; no go. I renamed the .evolution directory
to .evolution_ and restarted Evolution. It started with all
accounts and sub folders as before. Naturally all mails from the server
were loaded again. All the search folders were gone.

An hour ago, Evolution crashed with a BugBuddy automatically created
(the first one that really worked flawlessly). It created

To balance it out, I had two users who messed up their outlook.pst
files. Just as bad ...

:-)

[Evolution] Evolution 2.10.1 Under Core 6.93 or there abouts.

2007-05-10 Thread Craig Hastings

First off I have been away from the Linux community for a while, and am
happy to be back. And I was pleasantly surprised the ease of
installation of Core think I last used Redhat 5.

That being said I was very surprised with the GNOME desktop and its
functionality. Especially Evolution.

And now you have to forgive me if this is not the place to ask this
question or its been asked and answered before. I poked around the list
archives but honestly I don't know what I am searching for... So here
go's

When using the Evil Outlook program and you write a HTML formatted
message with images it includes the image in the message, however with
Evolution I wrote a nice message and inserted images sent it and people
did not receive the images in the message on close examination of the
html code in the messages people received the image source pointed to
something like /home/craig/images/pic2.jpg or something to that effect,
I remember when Outlook did this all the time.

Is there a switch somewhere to include the images in the message?

I also tried whatever version is in Core 6 however had the same
results..

on a less critical note if anyone knows of something that will sync a
T=mobile MDA mobile 5 device with Evolution contacts that would be darn
right handy. :)
