[Evolution] Adding calendar entries without bolding the calendar
Hi, I was entering a bunch of stuff onto my calendar like fiscal period, timesheet markers etcetc, and noticed that there appears to be no way of getting a calendar entry to not bold the calendar display. I was hoping to enter these things pretty much like the entries in a paper calendar, phase of the moon , whatever, but have the calendar not display them as bolded dates so I can see when my real appointments are. The only solution I came up with was to have a whole different calendar for these things and turn it on and off as I want to see this. While this works, it's a bit cumbersome. Anybody got any ideas ( and yes, pinning up a paper copy on my cubical wall had already occurred to me :) Cheers, Eamonn ___ Evolution-list mailing list Evolution-list@gnome.org http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/evolution-list
Re: [Evolution] Adding calendar entries without bolding the calendar
This is exactly what the multiple-calendar display is for, seems like the nicest solution to me is the one you've discovered already. [Evolution] Evo 2.2.1 always 'unexpectedly closed'
Hi all, I have Evo 2.2.1 Groupware Suite from Novell's Suse 9.3 Pro distro. It suddenly does not close properly. Error Message: "The Application "evolution-2.2" has quit unexpectedly"; " You can inform the developers of what happened to help them fix it. Or you can restart the application right now." Bug Buddy also hangs up (complains that gnome is older than 6 months). Restart works but no clean shutdown. 'Send and Receive' also hangs with 'Waiting' for the pop servers. Where should I start looking. Otherwise all works with Evo., sometimes it also fetches mail from the pop servers. Please take into consideration that I'm a novice with 6 months SuSE Linux experience, only as user and i'm no programmer. [Evolution] pop problem after password reset
HI, i have multiple servers that i connect to, using my ximian evolution v1.4.5. yesterday, i was asked to change my password on my server and upon doing so, i have been prompted by evolution that i should enter a password. naturally, i entered the new one and receiving email started. however, it started popping from the 1st email on the server (i kept originals there) and i have about 5k of them! obviously, i have canceled the process. having found no clue googling and such, i have tried a few things like, "forget passwords" and retrying to connect etc... each time, the emails were popped from the very first one. i think evolution got confused upon the password change and it does not know what to do. there is a cache file under evolution/mail/pop3 but is unfilled. The evolution/mail/pop/"myaccount"/cache/XX directories still exist, but not updated since last night. Of course, i can wait to receive and then delete all 5k emails and be done with it just once, but this is an EXTREMELY inconvenient situation. I may be hopeless fot this instance, but if anybody can help me as to what i should do next time a password change on my server is due, i will greatly appreciate it! thanks. Muge __ Yahoo! Re: [Evolution] pop problem after password reset
the password won't confuse the cache, but if the UIDs on the server changed (perhaps it was replaced with a newer pop server software that didn't reuse old UIDs?), then this would be the cause of the problem. [Evolution] All done ... for now
Hi all, Well after 5 years and 10 months, i'm just about say ta-ta to full-time Evolution development. I probably have a few things to add to the documentation, but right now my mind is drained of about all I can think of, and a man is not a camel ... Well, it's been an experience, from the exciting brand-new startup-days of Ximian to working for a multinational corporation. .com boom, bust, visits all around the world, and working at home for years. Varied workmates, strange work hours. Living breathing and sleeping code for weeks on end. Or not. Probably came to quitting many times, or being sacked a few at that. Had innumerable heated arguments and left people in no doubt about how i felt. Written 10s of thousands of lines of code, worked on 100s of thousands. Commented on over 3500 bug reports, written thousands of emails, spent years on IRC. But time to move on, going to have a good break from anything formally Evolution related, and maybe i'll get some spark back in the future - but who knows - I prefer not to know right now. Thanks to all who helped through the struggle, from workmates to Evolution and GNOME fans, to bug reporters. And best of luck going forward. Hi Michael, We will all miss you a lot. #evolution would never the same nor the evo-hacker/evo-patches lists. I wish to thank you on behalf of the Evolution team for your tremendous contributions to the project and for mentoring all of us during the course of Evolution 2.4 - It is no doubt that you are leaving behind a rich legacy (of code and culture) that Evolution would cherish and strive to live up to.
