[Edubuntu-bugs] [Bug 690050] [NEW] LocalDev: LTSP server can't mount thin-client flash-drives

2010-12-13 Thread Denis Ryabiy
Public bug reported:

1) Linux ltsp-server 2.6.35-22-generic #33-Ubuntu SMP Sun Sep 19 20:32:27 UTC
2010 x86_64 GNU/Linux Ubuntu 10.10
2) ltsp-server-standalone: Installed: 5.2.4-0ubuntu6
3) Plug in flash drive in thin client & get it in my ltsp-server environment
4) When I plug in flash nothing happens.

I've used https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebugLocalDev to solve my problem.

Three Steps were successfull, but on Fourth I got:

r...@ltsp31:~# ssh -X -S /var/run/ldm_socket_1851_192.168.16.37 192.168.16.37
"/usr/sbin/ltspfsmounter /tmp add"
Wrote dbc9f1fc74c66096f93e47065f52d166 size 32, waiting
Authentication failed.
Error: /tmp/.w1r0x-ltspfs/tmp is not mounted

w1r0x - is my username
192.168.16.37 - ltsp-server IP

Another X-needing applications such as gnome-terminal running
successfully, something wrong with ltspfsmounter

** Affects: ltsp (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

[Edubuntu-bugs] [Bug 690050] Re: LocalDev: LTSP server can't mount thin-client flash-drives

2010-12-14 Thread Denis Ryabiy
I have temporary solution
use

"ltspfsd -ad > /dev/null 2> /dev/null&" instead of "ltspfsd"

-a for no authentication. The server will simply accept the XAUTH packet sent
down, and always return OK.
-d for debug. Server won't fork into the background, and will print messages
to stderr.

Without debug -a don't work.

Now system works fine but without authentication.

Bug appeared on amd64 ltsp-client only

If I use "ltsp-build-client --arch i386" all is OK

[Edubuntu-bugs] [Bug 1861637] Re: I was simply going to select to paint with the brush instead of dodging, and the bug report thing appeared.
