Just got this issue on Focal:

This package should depend on `gconf2` package if it really uses it.

Also had problem with Ubuntu 18.04 and version 3.21 calibre. Fixed using
upgrade info at calibre which installed calibre 4.15:

sudo -v && wget -nv -O-
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/kovidgoyal/calibre/master/setup/linux-
installer.py | sudo python -c "import sys;
main=lambda:sys.stderr.write('Download failed\n');
exec(sys.stdin.read()); main()"
