[Dx-packages] [Bug 1609667] [NEW] Multi-Screen popup placement in a wrong desktop

2016-08-04 Thread sirkubax
Public bug reported:

As mentioned here:

http://askubuntu.com/questions/805695/select-monitor-for-indicator-
information-choose-the-most-right-monitor

In my opinion, the notify-osd should either allow to configure the active
desktop, or use most-right space of a whole desktop-space.
Now the popups appear in the middle of the workspace what is annoying!

--

How would You set display notification to appear on the
'right/secondary' desktop

Currently no matter what I configure, it appears in the top-right corner
of the left desktop :/

Expected result:

I did set:

Missing the setting for the 'display selection'

[Dx-packages] [Bug 1585886] Re: WiFi indicator icon disappears in Ubuntu 16.04

2016-08-04 Thread Vincas Dargis
But wait, you said that WiFi is working? I cannot enable WiFi because
WiFi enable checkbox is not available after some reboots. So I man not
sure if this is same bug.

Either way, I've want to share some experiment:

First, I had to run this (to disable kill swich?):

rfkill unblock 0:

rfkill list
0: asus-wlan: Wireless LAN
Soft blocked: no
Hard blocked: no

*** FIRST REBOOT ***

Now I've rebooted. I can see WiFi switch in network manage KDE Plasma
applet (or whatever it is called). It's not on though as I am using
ethernet cable.

Attached syslog-0-reboot-with-wifi-enabled with some interesting lines:

Aug 4 12:40:19 vinco NetworkManager[2964]: [1470303619.9266] rfkill2:
found WiFi radio killswitch (at
/sys/devices/pci:00/:00:1c.2/:04:00.0/ieee80211/phy0/rfkill2)

Aug 4 12:40:29 vinco systemd[1]: Started Load/Save RF Kill Switch Status.

*** SECOND REBOOT ***

Now rebooted again. WiFi still visible in network manager applet.

Attached syslog-1-reboot-with-wifi-enabled-again . I see same
interesting lines as before, looks the same as first reboot:

Aug 4 12:52:15 vinco NetworkManager[2976]: [1470304335.4960] rfkill3:
found WiFi radio killswitch (at
/sys/devices/pci:00/:00:1c.2/:04:00.0/ieee80211/phy0/rfkill3)

found WiFi radio killswitch (at
/sys/devices/platform/asus-nb-wmi/rfkill/rfkill1) (platform driver asus-nb-wmi)

Aug 4 12:52:25 vinco NetworkManager[2976]: [1470304345.8185] WiFi
hardware radio set disabled
Aug 4 12:52:25 vinco NetworkManager[2976]: [1470304345.8186] WWAN

Aug 4 12:52:25 vinco systemd[1]: Starting Load/Save RF Kill Switch Status...
Aug 4 12:52:25 vinco systemd[1]: Started Load/Save RF Kill Switch Status.

** THIR REBOOT **

Attaching syslog-2-reboot-with-wifi-disabled. *I cannot enable* WiFi
through network manager applet after third reboot. Checkbox is missing.
Some lines:

Aug 4 12:57:15 vinco systemd[1]: Starting Load/Save RF Kill Switch Status...
Aug 4 12:57:15 vinco systemd[1]: Starting Load/Save Screen Backlight
Brightness of leds:asus::kbd_backlight...
Aug 4 12:57:15 vinco systemd[1]: Started Load/Save RF Kill Switch Status.

These systemd Load/Save RF Kill Swich lines ar now much earlier in log.

Aug 4 12:57:15 vinco kernel: [ 16.219830] iwlwifi :04:00.0:
RF_KILL bit toggled to disable radio.

This RF_KILL line is now much earlier in log too.

Aug 4 12:57:17 vinco NetworkManager[2953]: [1470304637.9248]
rfkill0: found WiFi radio killswitch (at /sys/devices/platform/asus-nb-
wmi/rfkill/rfkill0) (platform driver asus-nb-wmi)

There is only one "found WiFi radion killswich" line as opposed to
previous two logs!
/sys/devices/pci:00/:00:1c.2/:04:00.0/ieee80211/phy0/rfkill3
is missing.

These last lines looks the same, thought "RF_KILL" and Load/Save RF KILL
when up to the beginning of the log:

Aug 4 12:57:18 vinco NetworkManager[2953]: [1470304638.6898] manager:
WiFi disabled by radio killswitch; disabled by state file
Aug 4 12:57:18 vinco NetworkManager[2953]: [1470304638.6898] manager:

Aug 4 12:57:19 vinco NetworkManager[2953]: [1470304639.2206]
urfkill disappeared from the bus

Aug 4 12:57:27 vinco NetworkManager[2953]: [1470304647.8223] WiFi
hardware radio set disabled
Aug 4 12:57:27 vinco NetworkManager[2953]: [1470304647.8223] WWAN

$ rfkill list

Yeah, it looks like I lose WiFi connectivity on ever third reboot!. Have
to "rfkill unblock 0" to make it work again, for two reboots...

2016-08-04 Thread Vincas Dargis
I did another experiment.

I've remove ehternet cable, connected WiFi to my home router. Now I
could reboot as much as I want, WiFi worked, checkbox is visible and is
ON inside network manager widget.

BUT, later I disabled WiFi connection, attached etherne cable, rebooted
and that's it - wlan0 device missing, no WiFi checkbox!

[Dx-packages] [Bug 1609793] Re: Unity tests crashes when compiling google-mocks with gcc-6

2016-08-04 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
This bug was fixed in the package google-mock -
1.7.0-18092013-2.1~build1

---
google-mock (1.7.0-18092013-2.1~build1) yakkety; urgency=medium

  * Upload NMU from DELAYED to Ubuntu (build1 to ensure this is autosynced the
next time)

google-mock (1.7.0-18092013-2.1) unstable; urgency=medium

  * Non-maintainer upload.
  * The previous upload fixed google-mock for its own testsuite, but not for
client projects. Backport a patch from an upstream issue to modify some
functions to not return NULL, working around the problem caused for
google-mock itself and for its clients. (Closes: #833449) (LP: #1609793)
  * This means we don't need -fno-delete-null-pointer-checks any more, so
remove that workaround.

[Dx-packages] [Bug 1585886] Re: WiFi indicator icon disappears in Ubuntu 16.04

2016-08-04 Thread Robert Orzanna
So, it has to do something with the Ethernet connection in your case?

Weird, I can't test it, unfortunately, as I don't use any Ethernet.
