[Dx-packages] [Bug 1325259] Re: Log out/Lock not functional with user with no password

2016-04-05 Thread Charles Kerr
I don't have a 14.04 setup to test with ATM, but trying the same in a
15.04 box, I can partially confirm this wrt the lockscreen, locking
doesn't work on a user with no password. The "lock/switch account..."
menuitem shouldn't be available in this case.

I'm not able to reproduce the Logout issue; logout works fine even on
accounts with no password. This needs re-testing on 14.04.

[Dx-packages] [Bug 1566341] Re: ``Tomorrow'' appears untranslated

2016-04-05 Thread Charles Kerr
At very first glance, the code in indicator-datetime looks alright: the
string `Tomorrow' only occurs in utils.c's
generate_full_format_string_at_time(), all instances there are marked
for translation, and the only change to utils.c in the last year was a
comment change (http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~indicator-applet-developers
/indicator-datetime/trunk.15.10/revision/428).

[Dx-packages] [Bug 1566341] Re: ``Tomorrow'' appears untranslated

2016-04-05 Thread Łukasz Zemczak
As already mentioned on the mailing list, looking at the language-pack
we're using for OTA-10 the string seems to be properly translated:

#: ../src/utils.c:278
msgid "Tomorrow"
msgstr "Holnap"

The same with any other occurrences of the same string.

[Dx-packages] [Bug 1547297] Re: No auto login in Ubuntu GNOME Xenial

2016-04-05 Thread Tim
Note the above comment is specific to gdm.

I do notice however that the Accounts Service "AutomaticLogin" property
is not persistent across reboots, that would be why the settings toggle
is broken.

oddly the toggle state works fine on xenial + GNOME 3.20, which would
still be using the same accountsservice. However the related code in

Bug description:
Just installed Ubuntu GNOME Xenial 20160218 amd64 and selected to auto
login during installation, but once the installation was complete and
I booted into Ubuntu GNOME I was asked for my password. I looked in
the user UI and auto login was set to off, so I unlocked it, selected
auto login = on, clicked on lock again, and rebooted but was once
again asked for my password and the user UI once again showed auto
  login = off.

[Dx-packages] [Bug 1566502] Re: [MIR] indicator-applet

2016-04-05 Thread Sebastien Bacher
Thanks Brian but that's not true, the deb has

"Recommends: indicator-applet | indicator-renderer"

Unity provides indicator-renderer and it has been this way for years...

I guess you are looking at component mismatch? In this case the issue is
likely something else, e.g unity not being installable on s390x by
example could make the indicator try to pull the applet in as that would
be the only option
