Re: [DNSOP] IETF 99: Call for agenda items, and draft cutoff reminder

2017-07-01 Thread Francis Dupont
As you should know now there are some security problems in different
TSIG implementations. IMHO the source of the problem is in TSIG RFCs
so it is likely we'll have to discuss about publishing one or two
Erratas. So even with a formal request for time in the agenda I believe
we should consider to keep 5/10 mn for at least a presentation about this.

PS: I expect more of the work to be done in this list (the problem
impact is clearly operational).

[DNSOP] I-D Action: draft-ietf-dnsop-terminology-bis-06.txt

2017-07-01 Thread internet-drafts

A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts directories.
This draft is a work item of the Domain Name System Operations of the IETF.

Title : DNS Terminology
Authors : Paul Hoffman
  Andrew Sullivan
  Kazunori Fujiwara
Filename: draft-ietf-dnsop-terminology-bis-06.txt
Pages : 37
Date: 2017-07-01

Abstract:
The DNS is defined in literally dozens of different RFCs. The
terminology used by implementers and developers of DNS protocols, and
by operators of DNS systems, has sometimes changed in the decades
since the DNS was first defined. This document gives current
definitions for many of the terms used in the DNS in a single
   document.

This document will be the successor to RFC 7719, and thus will
obsolete RFC 7719. It will also update RFC 2308 and RFC 3758.
