Re: Tables missing in SQLite but viewable in admin (confusion)

2021-05-29 Thread Antonis Christofides
The table name by default has the app name prepended; so the table for
PastSurgicalHistory will be named superhealth_pastsurgicalhistory (assuming that
your app is named superhealth).

Other than that, I'd make absolutely sure that the database I'm examining with
the sqlite3 command (or whatever tool you have) is really the same as the one
that is being read by Django. E.g. move the database file somewhere else (and
restart Django) and make sure that the data in Django admin is gone.

Greetings!

Am very confused about why the local dev SQLite DB 'appears' to be missing
several tables.

In the Django Admin they exist and have data.

I would be expecting to see the following tables in the DB but can't find them.
(These are the model names since I don't know what the table name look like
yet.)

  * Model: Allergies | Table: ?
  * Model: DoctorsAndProviders | Table: ?
  * Model: FamilyContacts | Table: ?
  * Model: PastSurgicalHistory | Table: ?
  * Model: HealthProfile | Table: ?

But, I do see these two models with their tables in the DB

  * Model: Med | Table: meds
  * Model: PastMedicalHistory  | Table: past_med_hx

The application seems to be working for the most part, we can still add and
remove objects. But was encountering errors when trying to build a ForeignKey
from the Allergies model to the HealthProfile Model that lives under the Users
app. The error said something along the lines about the ID did not exist in
the table? Which caused me to view the DB and notice this.

Any help appreciated :)

read this https://docs.djangoproject.com/en/2.2/intro/tutorial06/ and check
how you are giving paths. Also after loading the page on your browser go to

write File to other server in wamp

2021-05-29 Thread Elango Venkat
Hi All,

I am new here.

I have a web app created in Django in server A and i deployed with wamp
server.

My goal is to write a file to Folder in Server B.

when i am running the project in local (inside server A) with virtual env,
i can able to write the file to server B. (also i have network access to
the serverB path inside Server A)

But when with wamp, am getting the below permission denied error,

PermissionError: [Errno 13] Permission denied:
'SERVERBADDRESSd$MQ'\r,
referer: http://SERVERA/appname/webpage/

Kindly share your thoughts.

Thank you.

Preview of Form

2021-05-29 Thread Kumar Gaurav
Hi All,

How to show a preview of the form filled before submitting. I don't want to
edit the form in preview but just to see how it will be submitted.

Can Django form tools will help or should I use Jquery or Javascript for
this purpose. Please suggest a better solution.

Thank You

Did you name your css syle.css on purpose? If not you might just have a

Thanks, Antonis, you were correct. The app was not actually using the

Re: Preview of Form

2021-05-29 Thread Jim Illback
If I understand you correctly, you have an add (or update) form and you want to
see what those fields would look like in a preview display (like a paper form
equivalent). I would use an add/update form to input the data fields. At the
bottom have 2 buttons: one would do the add/update without preview and one
would show the preview display. The fields could be sent over in context or
even stored in a temp row of a holding table. Then, on the preview page, you
format the preview appropriately. You could have 2 buttons: one to accomplish
the update as is and one to return to the previous page so changes could be
made. With all this, you stay within Django and maintenance is simplistic, too.

Hope I understood your situation. If not, just ignore this.

Jim
