Re: Is there any hope for FSFE?
I think the FSFE needs to change to become an Organisation where the FSFE Fellows/Supporters are actually members like many other Organisations. For instance I’m a member of Proveg e.v. and there you are actually a member and not just a „financial contributor“ like with FSFE. -- Karun Dambiec kdamb...@fsfe.org On Fri, 3 May 2019, at 2:14 PM, Besnik Bleta wrote: > On Fri, 03 May 2019 06:35:17 -0400 > Florian Snow wrote: > > > Hi Christian, > > > > I think such a massive violation of privacy and attacking > > & manipulating our infrastructure is not just a mess to be cleaned > > up, it requires the proper legal response as well. > > So nobody ever try to raise censorship issues about your e.V., right? > > So rather than spending donation money for the real advancement > of Free Software, we give the money to lawyers who "helped" us > "safeguard" Free Software through Copyright Directive, right? > > Going in such direction would be a shame for FSFE and a great help to > the witch-hunting clan within it towards completely sterilizing FSFE. > > Regards, > Besnik > ___ > Discussion mailing list > Discussion@lists.fsfe.org > https://lists.fsfe.org/mailman/listinfo/discussion > > This mailing list is covered by the FSFE's Code of Conduct. Re: On Censorship
After reading the posts here I’m seriously thinking to stop supporting the FSFE as a „supporter“ and also because of the fellowship discontinuation. In the Future it seems better to support the Free software Foundation in the us which’s more mature. -- Karun On Mon, 6 May 2019, at 5:51 PM, Erik Albers wrote: > Hi Joe, > > > On 06.05.19 16:58, Joe Awni wrote: > > Personally, I have experienced instances of de facto censorship in the form > > of not being allowed to participate in an election, > > You have not being allowed to participate because the deadline for candidates > have been on February 1st and you applied on April 15, means you have been > 2,5 months beyond the deadline. Re: FSFE support for Pirate Party at EU Election on Free Software?
Personally i was not very impressed by the German pirate party. In any case there are more policies to consider and not only free software in choosing whom to vote for. -- Karun kdamb...@fsfe.org On Mon, 13 May 2019, at 8:04 PM, Max Mehl wrote: > Hi Fabio, > > ~ Fabio Pietrosanti (naif) - lists [2019-05-12 19:44 +0200]: > > i'm supporting Pirate Party (in Italy) for EU Election, i'm a strong > > free software advocate, and in the common european pirate party program > > > > (the same program in 9 EU states), there's a clear commitment on Free > > Software and the use/production of Free Software by Public > > Administration (100% in line with the campaign public code, public > > money). > > That reads good, thanks for the pointer!
