Bugzilla Noise

2006-05-30 Thread Hans Breuer

Lars,
the exact same feature request gets reported over and over
again - apparently with your account.

See: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=342664

Do you see any way to stop this ?
Or do we need help from the bugzilla team?

Thanks,
Hans

Closing as dupe?

Does not look like a good idea to me, except if it could be
done automatically. The question here is: if there is
something systematically wrong, should there be continuous
manual intervention? Or wouldn't it be better to find the
root cause of the issue?

BTW: I'm resolving the bugs as INVALID because otherwise
they would sooner or later show up at the dupes page
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/duplicates.cgi?product=dia
with unappropriate priority ...

Ugh, that could be a side-effect of the SessionSaver FireFox plugin,
since I'd reported the bug in a tab and then not closed that, every time
I restarted FireFox, it re-reported it. It has also occasionally
double-posted to UseNet for me. It really shouldn't store POST data in
the request. I will look at how to stop it from doing so.
