Re: Fwd: [ dia-installer-Support Requests-1492974 ] Virus/Trojan on installer release
Hi Checked with up to date AVG, and both the Dia install and the GTK came out fine. Category: None Group: None Status: Open Priority: 5 Submitted By: Mr. Bubble (lmesquita) Assigned to: Steffen Macke (sdteffen) Summary: Virus/Trojan on installer release Initial Comment: My Avast! anti-virus program reported virus/trojan "Win32:Small-WF [Trj]" on the dia-setup-0.95.exe file. The same virus was reported on dia-setup-0.95-pre7.exe file. -- Comment By: Steffen Macke (sdteffen) Date: 2006-05-23 04:23 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=30248 Sorry for this. I've checked the file once again with the latest Symantec Antivirus and there was no virus or Trojan reported. The file was downloaded 23,000 times already and nobody else reported a problem. However, I will forward this to the dia mailing list for further comments. Could you try to verify the problem on a second system? It would be great if you could forward the dia installer to your Antivirus software vendor. Maybe they have to update their signatures. -- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2006-05-22 19:01 Message: Logged In: NO The virus-infected file's MD5 checksum matches the checksum published in the release notes. -- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=216768&aid=1492974&group_id=16768 ___ Dia-list mailing list Dia-list@gnome.org http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/dia-list FAQ at http://www.gnome.org/projects/dia/faq.html Main page at http://www.gnome.org/projects/dia -- Michael Inggs: Dept. Re: Maybe I'm missing something
Sorry I was opaque. The gist of my request is this. When I place objects in a diagram, I want them aligned in particular ways. I can use the alignment tools, but those are not always what I need. I want text to all appear on the same line, for instance, underneath the boxes they describe. I would like to select the text and use the arrow key to move it up one pixel. Or I have a box that is one pixel off from where I want it. The mouse is a very sloppy way to grab and place it, just not accurate enough controls--I would like to have it selected and then use the arrow key to move it. GIMP has this functionality, which is why I often perform final alignment of my images in GIMP. dia is a wonderful tool-- I am the guy in IBM who got a group of people worldwide using it for official diagrams. But this would be a nice feature for those of us who are nit-picky about object placement. As the other guy said, let me fine-tune the placement and then I will get the attached lines in place. I second all that. That is the basic use for a jog. I will take whatever else you all can come up with and be eternally grateful. mike On 5/23/06, Jim Clark <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: Sorry I was opaque. The gist of my request is this. For that, you might want to use one of the TeX-oriented output methods. such as MetaPost, PSTricks or PGF. The latin-1 output only allows a very small selection of fonts (essentially the built-in ones). -Lars ___ Dia-list mailing list Dia-list@gnome.org http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/dia-list FAQ at http://www.gnome.org/projects/dia/faq.html Main page at http://www.gnome.org/projects/dia
