I have not tried it yet.

I think that I will try the win32 compilation of dia from the cross
compiler even without re-compiling all the sources first. At least
based on the releases that you sent.

my current problems are with gtk+ for the cross compilation, the guys
from say to upgrade.

gotta go

Drawing instead of Untitled

2003-01-13 Thread Alan Horkan

I think in the Save dialog we should prompt with the name Drawing %d
rather than Untitled.

Way more verbose description here
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=103415

I uncluded a patch, i could commit it myself but i figured maybe i should
run it past you guys first.

In my installation, the Aggregation and Association objects have the same
icon in the sheet. I _hadn't_ tried the Aggregation because it looked
wrong. Thanks for the pointer.

Thanks for the pointer. I'll check it out in more detail.

I tried adding and deleting segments and didn't have any luck getting the
arrows straightened out but just now it seems to have worked; I guess either
Dia or I were tired the other day. Thanks.

Not in my installation.

Thanks.

oh, sheet! thx! copying the old .sheet files
from the 0.90 distro into:
   .\dia\build\win32\sheets\

gets the sheets up and running!

ok, the 1st time I do an export, I get the following
warning dialog box:
"This Dia version is compiled without libart/text
support."

no crashes, though, and the .png file is ok...albeit
without text.

BTW, I seem to be able to load the .cgm, .wmf, and
.wpg vector exports into powerpoint withoug issue.
cool.
(.svg export loads into by browser fine, too.)

How about "Drawing%d.dia" or "Diagram%d.dia"? That way you get the extention
right at once. I've noticed that Gnumeric, another Gnome program that uses a
compressed xml-based file type, saves as "Book%d.gnumeric" by default.
(although the suffix is added automatically; the user doesn't need to type
it)
