[Dhis2-devs] Event report is showing data after deleting all events also

Hi DHIS Team,

We have deleted all events for specific orgunit, ran analytics and cleared
browser cache. Observed that there is no data in Event Capture app.



But still we are seeing numbers in Event Reports app as below




We have observed the same for other Orgunits also. Could you please let us
know why event report still showing numbers.

Hi Markus,

We have tried alternative i.e created a case in 2016 and ran analytics. Now
in Event Reports we are able to see 1 case under 2016. We will try the
first option also and let you know the result soon.

[Dhis2-devs] Missing orderby clause in TrackedEntityInstance Ids query

We are hitting the below API to fetch TrackedEntityInstance(TEI) Ids

http:///api/25/trackedEntityInstances?eventEndDate=2018-06-03&eventStartDate=2018-03-18&fields=trackedEntityInstance&ou=a2620f76786&ouMode=DESCENDANTS&page=1&pageSize=1000&totalPages=true
<http://localhost:8080/api/25/trackedEntityInstances?eventEndDate=2018-06-03&eventStartDate=2018-03-18&fields=trackedEntityInstance&ou=a2620f71996&ouMode=DESCENDANTS&page=1&pageSize=1000&totalPages=true>

The above API call will give first 1000 TEI ids because the call is
paginated with pagesize=1000. Like that we are making calls for other pages
to fetch all the TEI Ids.

DHIS is using the below query to get the TEI ids

select distinct tei from TrackedEntityInstance tei left join
tei.trackedEntityAttributeValues where (  tei.organisationUnit.path LIKE
'/a2cf79e8g34/a1c343a3w24%') and  tei.deleted is false;

In this query we couldn't find any order by clause. Is there any chance
that few of the TEI ids which are returned in some page are going to be
repeated in another page also.
Is this query going to be executed every time for each paginated API call?

Hi Morten,

Thanks for your inputs. Can you help us understanding how paginated API
calls are going to be handled in DHIS side. For example,

If we make an API call to get first 1000 results i.e page1 -- DHIS will hit
the DB with some query and gives the results (please correct me if I am
wrong here). Will it store the DB query results in-memory?
Subsequently if we make the same API call but for second 1000 i.e page2 --
How DHIS returns the data this time. Will it hit the database again to get
the data or will it get from in-memory?

If we want to add an additional "orderby" clause, is there any parameter in
API to perform sorting or we have to add "orderby" clause in DHIS query.

[Dhis2-devs] TrackedEntityInstances API call is taking lot of time in DHIS 2.29

Hi All,

We are upgrading from DHIS 2.27 to DHIS 2.29. We are making the below call
to get the trackedentityinstance ids.

The thing what we observed is this call is taking 1 or 2 secs with DHIS
2.27 but it is taking around 25 secs with DHIS 2.29.

Could you please help us understand why it is taking this much time in DHIS
2.29. Also, Is there any plan to optimize this in near future?

[Dhis2-devs] License information for HighCharts

We are planning to use HighCharts in our web application and we found that
HighCharts library is available under different licenses depending on
whether it is intended for commercial/government use, or for a personal or
non-profit project. As DHIS is already using highcharts, we want to know
how DHIS got the access to HighCharts and which kind of license it is using?

[Dhis2-devs] Query around OAuth implicit grant

Hi DHIS,

We have gone through DHIS OAuth documentation and found that DHIS has
implemented Authorization code grant. We are planning to use DHIS OAuth in
our application and our application is pure java script based.

As our application is SPA (single page application) hence we are looking
for implicit grant OAuth. Are there any plans to implement this in near
future.

[Dhis2-devs] Need help to identify proper authorities to make API calls in DHIS

Hi DHIS Team,

We are planning to use DHIS OAuth in our application.
We want to make API calls to view/add/update/delete the events, programs,
dataSets, dataValues etc. For this we want to figure out minimum list of
authorities so that access token generated from the user's login detail
should be able to make api calls.

*Requirement* :
We require a user login that can make api calls to fetch data, but they
should not be able to update data directly through DHIS.

*What we tried : *
We tried to assign selective authorities to the particular user role and we
have following observation :
1. When we assign no authorities to the user role, and make api call for
events we got below response

*{"pager":{"page":1,"pageCount":2,"total":1365,"pageSize":1000},"events":[]}%*

NO events came in the response json in spite of events present in the
system.

2. When we assign all authorities except '*ALL*' to the user role, and make
api call for events we got the same response as above.

*{"pager":{"page":1,"pageCount":2,"total":1365,"pageSize":1000},"events":[]}%*

3. When we assign the authority '*ALL*' to the user role, and make api call
for events we were able to get all the events. This also enables the user
to make update data directly from DHIS.

Could you please help us to figure out the minimum authority to make API
calls?

[Dhis2-devs] TEI and Enrollments API GET calls are not considering date range

Hi DHIS Team,

We are using below API calls to get the TrackedEntityInstance Ids and
Enrollment Ids.

*https:///api/trackedEntityInstances?lastUpdatedStartDate=2018-06-17&lastUpdatedEndDate=2018-09-02&fields=trackedEntityInstance&ou=&ouMode=DESCENDANTS&page=5&pageSize=1000&program=&totalPages=true*



*http:///api/enrollments?programEndDate=2018-08-05&programStartDate=2018-05-20&fields=enrollment&ou=&ouMode=DESCENDANTS&page=1&pageSize=1000&totalPages=true&program=*

The above API calls returning the total number of ids but not returning any
ids. Could you please help us to identify what we have done incorrect.

[Dhis2-devs] Custom attribute value is downloading incorrectly in DHIS 2.29

Hi DHIS Team,

We were using DHIS 2.27. We have one option with name "Procedures" and its
code is "procedure". This option is assigned to one of the option set and
this set is assigned to one of the custom attribute.

We had set this custom attribute to "Procedures" for few data elements. Now
we migrated to DHIS 2.29 and created new data elements and set this custom
attribute value "Procedures".

If we query for these data elements (old and new) we are seeing different
results for this custom attribute value (code) as below

Existing Data Element:
