[owncloud-devel] Introduction
Hi, I would like to introduce myself to the ownCloud community. My name is Gaurav Mittal and I am a 3rd year student studying in International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad. I am pursuing my B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering. I would like to apply for GSoC 2016 under ownCloud this summer. I have a good understanding of HTML, CSS, PHP, JS along with other languages and have worked on a lot of projects involving these. Though the AppFramework is new to me, I am sure I can get a gist of it soon. I have viewed the Idea Page and these 2 caught my eye: 1. Make it possible to embed ownCloud galleries in another website 2. Create a picture editor which integrates with Gallery I have already set up the development environment. How should i proceed? Hi, I am Chathura Widanage, a 3rd year undergraduate student from department of computer science & Engineering, Univeristy of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. I am interested in contributing to the project idea, "Create a picture editor which integrates with Gallery". I have a good knowledge and experience in javascripts (jquery, angularjs 1, angularjs 2) and PHP. So I am sure that I have the enough potential to contribute for this project. Can you please let me know how complex the image editor should be and what are the editing options that should be available in the image editor. Further I would like to know whether image processing algorithms are preferred to be run at the front end or at the back end. Thanks. Hey Chathura, Manish, Ahmed et al. Can you post a github for it and then link people there? think it will be far easier to organise that way. Hi, My Name is tahaa karim, i am doing my major in computer science. I like your project very much and would like to contribute through gsoc on any one of the following: 1) Make it possible to embed owncloud galleries in another website 2) Create a picture editor which integrates with Gallery I took your gsoc tip and started exploring the codebase and the coding style. i submitted 2 pull request for 2 apps for supporting v9.1. I am experienced in PHP, HTML and JS developer( github.com/tahaalibra). i understand object oriented programming, MVC frameworks, various javascript libraries and responsive design. i would like to contribute to owncloud very much...please help..i want to ask if there are any other requirements.
