Rust review swaps (for Taskwarrior 3 update)

Does this mean that the only way to preserve /home when clean installing 41 will be to use a different medium? Hi, no, we are working on supporting re-installation with preserving your /home subvolume. I had a problem after my latest installation but I don't remember what, and did just that. I initially didn't expect this option to show up so I had already "wasted" time backing up my home directory and during the re-installation I was immediately offered to create a new root subvolume and keep the existing home. I'm using the Xfce spin. Dridi Xfce isn't using Web UI but I'm definitely happy how this went :) Note: you should always backup your data before installation Best Regards, Jirka -- ___ devel mailing list -- devel@lists.fedoraproject.org To unsubscribe send an email to devel-le...@lists.fedoraproject.org Fedora Code of Conduct: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/code-of-conduct/ List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/devel@lists.fedoraproject.org Do not reply to spam, report it: https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure/new_issue

I'm not sure. I don't see anything in the reviews that pops out to me. Does the dashboard take the fedora-review-service build status into account perhaps? Request for help for packaging new potential Workstation default apps
Hey folks, The Fedora Workstation WG is considering replacing several preloaded apps with alternatives: * Rhythmbox -> (gnome-music + Decibels[1]) or Amberol[2] * Evince -> Papers[3] * Totem -> Showtime[4] Of these apps, only Papers has a currently active package review[5]. The Fedora Workstation WG would like some help from interested Fedora Workstation users to contribute to the success of the Fedora Workstation offering by packaging these applications in Fedora. Members of the Working Group can help review packaging by anyone who takes this on to package the applications in a manner consistent with the Fedora packaging guidelines and general practices. If anyone is interested, please let us know and we can work out arrangements to assist new contributors. :) [1]: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/Incubator/decibels (TypeScript) [2]: https://gitlab.gnome.org/World/amberol (Rust) [3]: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/Incubator/papers (C + Rust) [4]: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/Incubator/showtime (Python) [5]: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2305882 -- 真実はいつも一つ!/ Always, there's only one truth! -- ___ devel mailing list -- devel@lists.fedoraproject.org To unsubscribe send an email to devel-le...@lists.fedoraproject.org Fedora Code of Conduct: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/code-of-conduct/ List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/devel@lists.fedoraproject.org Do not reply to spam, report it: https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure/new_issue

[CoreOS] Fedora CoreOS rebasing to Fedora Linux 40
The Fedora Linux 41 beta was released today[[1]]. The Fedora CoreOS `next` stream has been rebased and is currently rolling out. This is a preview of what is coming to the `testing` and `stable` streams when Fedora Linux 41 is released in the coming months. For more information about Fedora 41, see the Fedora Project’s list of official Changes[[2]] and the Fedora CoreOS analysis of each Change[[3]]. The following changes require attention: - In Fedora 41 CoreOS is dropping Wi-Fi firmware packages that were split into subpackages of linux-firmware[[4]]. If you are currently using Wi-Fi, see the documentation for how to keep it enabled[[5]]. - Composefs is now enabled by default[[6]]. Pay special attention to the known issues[[7]]. - In systemd v256 cgroups v1 support was disabled. If you've opted out of the cgroups v2 migration in the past, your system will fail to boot after upgrading. - moby-engine/Docker was updated in Fedora from version 24 to version 27. Please see the notes[[8]] with each release of moby and also the deprecated/removed features page[[9]] to see if there is any noteworthy changes for your use cases. Or those reports just come straight to us and we have to say "yes we know, but we're not going to fix it", like this: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2312672 > The time Fedora maintainers have spent on this is a sunk cost, doing > nothing is clearly inferior to all other options. At minimum we should > ship F41 with openssl-devel Requires: openssl-engine-devel again. > (Having OpenSSL #define OPENSSL_NO_ENGINE properly is > by far my preferred option) It's fixed in rawhide now, but are we still against fixing it for F41? Affected Fedora packages might have been fixed, but people build other software on Fedora that isn't already packaged and built in koji. I'll add a workaround in boost-devel if the decision is still that openssl shouldn't fix it in F41. -- ___ devel mailing list -- devel@lists.fedoraproject.org To unsubscribe send an email to devel-le...@lists.fedoraproject.org Fedora Code of Conduct: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/code-of-conduct/ List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/devel@lists.fedoraproject.org Do not reply to spam, report it: https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure/new_issue
