Re: AOO41X Test Builds

Thanks for that
Is it possible to install this build when you already have 4.1.15 on the
computer?

Does it replace or is it a "dual" installation?

I'm not an IT but a banner at the top of the page to warn the slowness
seems like a good start.

Hello,
If you don't want complaints, all you need to do is notify end users
of the situation.

I haven't seen any information about this.
Thank you for all your hard work in resolving this issue.

Then what is your proposal exactly?
Make a dedicated topic in the forum? Since there are times when it's
hard to access it, what would be the point?
This issue has been discussed for weeks on this list, thus subscribers
are well aware.
The team is facing professionals seeking to disrupt or abuse the system
for whatever purpose and there are only volunteers to fight that.
Fixes are tested and they are believed to be efficient when applied,
thus, no real gain to post something that is expected to no longer
occur.
Of course it can be frustrating but that's life. Hopefully, most users
understand that.

Normal installation will update to AOO 4.1.16.

There are ways to to a parallel installation, but I don't have the
instructions at hand. They are somewhere in our Wiki.

Hello,

Is it possible to install this build when you already have 4.1.15 on
the computer?
Yes, it is. On a Windows machine, use Windows Sandbox

for such tasks.
