Re: Need help to understand code "moVert.get( XML_horz ) != XML_horz"

2014-04-25 Thread Regina Henschel

Hi Andre,

thanks, for the pointer. It is clear now.

Andre Fischer schrieb:

moVert is defined as

OptValue< sal_Int32 > moVert;

The oox::OptValue template class, defined in
oox/inc/oox/helper/helper.hxx, does not provide direct access to its
value. You have to call the get() method to read the
value.

Looking at the code you pasted, I am asking myself if there should not
be a call to OptValue::has() before the get() method is called.

"has" is inside get, when get is called with a parameter.

Kind regards
Regina

--- Additional Comments from j...@apache.org
I agree that it is not nice but for me it is no showstopper but a normal issue.
Yes it is a regression but again it is not serious. We have no data loss and it
can be easy workarounded. We even don't know if it is often used. Otherwise I
am wondering why we detect it so late. The related code changes were probably
made in February and the issue was already in the Beta.

When you click on a slide and insert a new slide via the context menu it works.

I would fix it asap on trunk and take into account if others more serious
issues are found.

I have denied the showstopper flag because it is not nice but also not
serious and can be easy workarounded. We even don't know if this is used
often or in a slightly different way where it works. We should keep in
mid that it was already in the Beta and nobody had reported a problem here.

I propose to fix it asap on trunk and take it into account when we
either have to prepare a further RC (which I don't hope) or a
potentially 4.1.1.

The wiki will be updated asap but nevertheless will I start the vote
today and let it run over the weekend until Monday.

I rewrote and posted that last blog post:

https://blogs.apache.org/OOo/entry/apache_openoffice_weekly_news_1

Most of it is a cut and paste from the wiki. I was able to get the
same URL, so links in emails, tweets, etc., are the same. But the
content might be slightly, meaning Joerg's translation of the older
version might not be exact anymore. But that is probably OK.

But we still have the problem of losing the images in blog. For
example, our April Fools post doesn't really make sense anymore, does
it:

https://blogs.apache.org/OOo/entry/apache_openoffice_4_2_to

Same with posts dealing with the Sidebar, charts of download stats,
discussions of graphics improvements, the logo competition results,
and the many other images we used to enhance our posts.

This is a mess and fixing it will be a big effort. I wonder if it is
worth splitting off from the blogs.apache.org installation and going
with our own WordPress install, maybe at blog.openoffice.org?

Blog appears to be back up. Almost.

Another complication: In some cases I have the images on my
harddrive, like the recent "OpenCash" screen shot. But Roller will
not let me upload the replacement image. I get an "upload failed"
error.

mmh, it's hard to say which services works reliable at the moment. I for
example can't edit in cwiki. Got proxy errors or service temporary not
available ...

No fun, wasting time for stupid and simple edit changes in the cwiki

It sounds like Infra experienced multiple hardware failures at the
same time. But they're making progress. A note on the infra list
says CMS builds should be working now. I'll give that a try now.

Yeah, it works!

A little late, but here's Samer's special logo for 100 million downloads:

http://www.openoffice.org/

I've also updated the text in the social network sharing links.

The stats pages are also updated:

Downloads - http://www.openoffice.org/stats/downloads.html

Downloads by country - http://www.openoffice.org/stats/countries.html

So assuming the distribution side is working, I think we're OK for a
4.1 release. We can update announcements on the website and publish
blog posts.

The one thing that does not appear to be working is putting images
into blog posts. But maybe we keep the images on the wiki, deep link
to them if needed?

well slow progress on the wiki front, Oliver helped me and was able to
make at least a few further changes ...

A further problem is that *.dmg files are not recognized as binaries and
are shown as text in the browser. Means you have to save the link.

[VOTE]: Release Apache OpenOffice 4.1.0 (RC4)

2014-04-25 Thread Jürgen Schmidt
Hi all,

this is a call for vote on releasing the available release candidate
(RC4) as Apache OpenOffice 4.1.0.

Apache OpenOffice 4.1 is a minor update with many bugfixes and at least
2 major improvements. It's the first version where we have the
iAccessibility2 support integrated and available. A very huge step
forward to reach and better support disabled users especially on
Windows. The second improvement is the switch to 64 bit on MacOS. A long
and overdue "must do" shift forward to support newer APIs (replace
deprecated APIs) and platforms on MacOS.
And we can provide again more complete UI translations and have now
support for 38 languages. New languages for this release compared to
4.0.1 are Bulgarian, Danish, Hebrew, Hindi, Norwegian Bokmal and Thai.

Apache OpenOffice 4.1 will be a further key milestone to continue the
success of OpenOffice.

An overview of the integrated release issues can be found under:

http://people.apache.org/~jsc/milestones/4.1.0-rc4/AOO4.1.0_RC4_fixes.html

The RC4 fixed 2 further problems:
https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=124682
https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=124701

RC3:
https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=124617
https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=124639

RC2:
https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=124599
https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=124607
https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=124509
https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=124394

The release candidate artifacts (source release, as well as binary
releases for 38 languages) and further information how to verify and
review Apache OpenOffice 4.1.0 can be found on the following wiki page:

https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/OOOUSERS/Development+Snapshot+Builds

(alternative directly via
http://ci.apache.org/projects/openoffice/milestones/4.1.0-rc4)

*.dmg files are currently not recognized as binaries and have to be
saved manually (save link as ...).

The RC is based on the release branch AOO410, revision 1589052! And a
fresh and clean RAT scan output of this revision can be found under

http://people.apache.org/~jsc/milestones/4.1.0-rc4/AOO4.1.0_RAT_Scan.html

Please vote on releasing this package as Apache OpenOffice 4.1.0

The vote starts now and will be open until:

   Monday, 28 April: 2014-04-28 10:00pm UTC+2.

But we invite all people to vote (non binding) on this RC. We would like
to provide a release that is supported by the majority of our project
members.

[ ] +1 Release this package as Apache OpenOffice 4.1.0
   [ ] 0 Don't care
[ ] -1 Do not release this package because...

Whatever you think is best. I feel saddened by the loss of all these very
cool blogs -- esp the one on the integration of Symphony features -- but
also many others. But...our life goes on. Continuing to use the ASF blog
feature is fine. We might think of making complete copies on the main web
server. It's certainly not a problem to do this.

+1, also for me not severe enough.

A new slide is created at all and it can be moved to the wished position.

Marcus, my mistake, typo exists, AFAIK, only at the native-lang website

OK, so the minimal change would be to change the text into

This would have some informative value, since for example people who
expect to download via right-click may understand that they need an
extra click to do so. No need to link the "sourceforge.net" text to

I didn't change

I'll take care and put this online as soon as the first re-build update
