Since the r1583666 based spin, several substantial issues have been

r1583671 -- affects apparent quality of the IAccessible2 based AT tools
support (i125573)

This has been integrated into branch AOO410 and has been already
considered for 4.1.0

r1583988/r1585171 -- affecting users on OS X (i124509)

May it makes sense to include the available fix.

r1585173 -- i18 support for nds-DE local

I am not sure, if we should include this fix for 4.1.0.
It only affects a certain language which is spoken in a part of a country.

r1585261 -- serious ODF formatting issues with annotations (i124607)

This one has already been requested as show-stopper.

Best regards, Oliver.

Strongly beleive that these and several rejected "show stoppers" ("can fix
later" on trunk) necessitate a respin of an RC2, and merit rejection of the
r1583666 based RC1 build.

I don't know. Maybe something in the middle, like every two weeks?
It depends on the pace of interesting things on the lists, forums,
news, etc.

One easy way to do this would be to have a wiki page called "AOO
Weekly News" (or something like that). Anyone in the community can
add something there. Then each week (or month or whatever) at an
agreed-upon time, we cut and past the wiki content into a blog post
and press "post". The one thing to test is whether text formatting
and hyperlinks are preserved when copying and pasting from wiki to
blog. But if that does work, this could be an easy solution.

A method that may work to open this document (pending release of OO 4.1) is to
create a new Writer document (/File /New :Writer document) then to Insert the
faulty document into it (/Insert /File). If your document opens correctly, you
should then remove any Comments attaching to text ranges and resave; the
comments can safely be attached to a point (as in earlier versions of OO).

[RELEASE]: propose a second RC on revision 1585426

2014-04-07 Thread Jürgen Schmidt
Hi,

most of you have already noticed that we had found some serious issues
in our RC build. That means we had to fix this issues and have to
prepare a new RC2 based on revision 1585426 from AOO 410 branch.

The RC2 build is currently ongoing and will be available soon.

Besides the 2 critical issues [1] and [2] we have integrated 2 further
issues. One was already requested as showstopper [3] but declined and
with a fix in place we would take it into account for integration. The
other one [4] is an uncritical improvement to support building the src
release on newer Linux version.

Reporting a problem with the OpenOffice website

Hi,

I tried downloading the Welsh language version of OpenOffice:

https://www.openoffice.org/cy/

However, I got the error message:-

"550

Does this mean that there isn't a Welsh interface currently available for
the program? Shame.
