Bug 122678: Clicking New Document toolbar item crashes
https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=122678

--- Additional Comments from Ariel Constenla-Haile
Crash on Linux with gcc < 4.5.0

A bug in the libstdc++ dynamic cast runtime makes the dynamic_cast from
VCLXMenu* to VCLXPopupMenu * fail in framework::NewToolbarController::execute(
sal_Int16 ) framework/source/uielement/popuptoolbarcontroller.cxx

Bug is solved in gcc >= 4.5.0, see
http://gcc.gnu.org/viewcvs/gcc?view=revision&revision=149297

Reproducible in Fedora 18 or some other newer Linux system if you copy in
/opt/openoffice4/program an older version of libstdc++, like the one available
in CentOS 5 (gcc 4.1.2).

Simple fix: replace the dynamic_cast with a reinterpret_cast, or C-style cast.

The upload is finished. But Galician is not up-to-date, my fault. I
simply have overseen that I haven't merged and commit it.

Easy workaround is possible. I am willing to grant the showstopper flag again
when a useable, uncritical fix comes in time.

Before you request a showstopper please think about our criteria. We accept
only issues that fulfill our showstopper criteria or simple issues where a fix
is already in place and which are not critical.

And moving the release date based on such simple issue is not an option because
than we will never release. And the next release is coming as well.

Sidebar toolbar improvement

2013-07-05 Thread Andre Fischer

Hi,

I would like to propose a little improvement to the way toolbars are
displayed in sidebar panels. At the moment toolbars are displayed with
a gradient in the background but no border [1]. I would like to add a
subtle border to make the toolbars better recognizable [2].

The two images show screenshots made on Linux Ubuntu 13.04 with standard
Ambiance theme (far left), MacOS X 10.7.5 with standard theme (center)
and Windows 7 with standard theme (far right).
Note that the screenshot also show different languages: English en-US
(far left), German de (center) and Finnish fi (far right).

With the proposed borders around toolbars: [1]
Without borders: [2]

The change itself is harmless, a simple exchange of color values in
sfx/source/sidebar/Theme.cxx

Best regards,
Andre

4.0.0_release_blocker:
Bug 122676: undo-redo works correctly only after double click
https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=122676

--- Additional Comments from Armin Le Grand
ALG: Using the SfxDispatcher::Execute call which allows a null-terminated list
of SfxPoolItems to be handed over instead of doing two calls with just one
SfxPoolItem. The difference is that only one SlotID can be handed over, Checked
that the adding of SfxPoolItems to an SfxItemSet is directly done in
SfxDispatcher::Execute itself, thus the SfxPoolItems always arrive at the
application as SfxItemSet. Prerequisite to make this work is that the SlotIDs
used lead to the correct execution, this is done in DrawViewShell::FuTemporary
and in a single case the slots SID_ATTR_FILL_STYLE, SID_ATTR_FILL_COLOR,
SID_ATTR_FILL_GRADIENT, SID_ATTR_FILL_HATCH and SID_ATTR_FILL_BITMAP are
handled using SetAttributes at the SdrDrawView. Thus, using a single Execute
call with two SfxPoolItems and the slot of the original command and not
SID_ATTR_FILL_STYLE works well. This path exists in the other apps, too, so I
would say the change is safe.
Resetting the ReleaseBlocker flag now with a possible solution which I evaluate
as not dangerous. Preparing to add the patch, too.

Thanks for sharing, nice stuff. As you know, I like the rectangle ones
which are similar to 'App'-style ones, thus I like the 1st line :-)

I saw you have changed the symbol for Impress; I think it's not too well
distinguishable as Presentation app/File, I had to detect it by
excluding the other ones. Would it be better to use the 'Dia'
association which Kevin used, maybe with graphic objects in the dia?

I would just like to mention that a small "flat" orb icon in various sizes

The set of Apache mirrors offers different domains and domain types, some
of which might be more easily reached through restrictive firewalls. At my
company I'm able to download from SourceForge but some other
open/public/shareware/freeware sites are blocked. Plus, some businesses
are blocked but university domains are generally reachable. So, yes,
getting on the Apache mirrors might make AOO more accessible for
downloading.

The tokens.hxx header seems to be a file generated by
  main/oox/source/token/token.pl
and
  main/oox/source/token/makefile.mk

I suggest to remove the output tree from the oox/module and then rebuild
that module. The name of that output tree depends on the platform (e.g.

hmmm...OK, this is a help. I didn't run into this last time about a month
or so ago, so a surprise.

ok, thanks.

I would definitely put a section in "other.html" rather than trying to add
more to the green DL box. Hopefully this kind of situation won't happen
often.

ah! OK, I hadn't checked lately.

I think just providing the "standard" Apache DL page options is good enough
for these cases, which hopefully are few. If one mirrror doesn't work, they
can try another.

Re: Building in recent environments: Java 7 and Mozilla

2013-07-05 Thread Andrea Pescetti

On 02/07/2013 Herbert Duerr wrote:

In case someone is interested I'd like to point to issue [1] (removing
the mozilla dependency for security stuff) and its corresponding branch
[2]. When this is finished the only remaining dependency to Mozilla is
AFAIK for its address book support. IMHO the system and LDAP address
books should suffice.
[1] https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=122365
[2] http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/openoffice/branches/Remove_MOZ/

It seems that this still breaks in the "connectivity" module (even when
using --disable-build-mozilla and the above prebuilt stuff), with errors
like

.../main/connectivity/source/drivers/mozab/mozillasrc/MLdapAttributeMap.cxx:127:17:
error: cannot convert 'nsresult (nsIAbCard::*)(PRUnichar**) {aka
unsigned int (nsIAbCard::*)(short unsigned int**)}' to
'connectivity::mozab::{anonymous}::CardPropertyGetter {aka unsigned int
(nsIAbCard::*)(short unsigned int**)}' in initialization
.../main/connectivity/source/drivers/mozab/mozillasrc/MLdapAttributeMap.cxx:127:17:
error: cannot convert 'nsresult (nsIAbCard::*)(const PRUnichar*) {aka
unsigned int (nsIAbCard::*)(const short unsigned int*)}' to
'connectivity::mozab::{anonymous}::CardPropertySetter {aka unsigned int
(nsIAbCard::*)(const short unsigned int*)}' in initialization
dmake: Error code 1, while making
'../../../../unxlngi6.pro/slo/MLdapAttributeMap.obj'

So, unless I use --disable-mozilla, I'm still unable to make a full
build on a recent system.

This is with gcc 4.8.1 on a 32-bit system (Fedora 19).

Regards,
  Andrea.
