[rdo-dev] Re: Projects dropping py36 support in master: what to do?
Hello Luigi, Yes, we have a general plan to drop CS8 jobs in master. We are tracking this topic in RDO meetings [1][2]. We are waiting for TripleO and Puppet projects to move to CS9 in master. But yeah, I think we need to find a temporary plan as it might take a bit longer. Currently, we can't pin projects to a commit separately between CS8 and CS9. But, we can add a mechanism to do so : create a branch from master -> master-cs8 and edit DLRN script on cs8-master DLRN builder to checkout this branch. We just need to check the operational part and evaluate if it's relevant. For now, only Octavia [3] and Cinder [4] are blocked (i.e we can't build the latest commits with DLRN). Let's not introduce master-cs8 since it has no future - instead let's accumulate py36 related blockers on master in a CIX tracker, as a pressure to move TripleO and Puppet to CS9 Alan ___ dev mailing list -- dev@lists.rdoproject.org To unsubscribe send an email to dev-le...@lists.rdoproject.org %(web_page_url)slistinfo%(cgiext)s/%(_internal_name)s To unsubscribe: %(_internal_name)s-unsubscribe@%(host_name)s

For TripleO we haven't been running centos8 on master for a while already. We have kept some centos8 jobs for stable/wallaby regards, marios > Currently, we can't pin projects to a commit separately between CS8 and CS9. > But, we can add a mechanism > to do so : create a branch from master -> master-cs8 and edit DLRN script on > cs8-master DLRN builder > to checkout this branch.
