If you haven't sent the repose yet, please use this one:

Hi ,

Thanks for the update. Ideally we want tenants don't have animals in the
property. But if you have already allowed tenants to have the doc in the
property, there is no reason why tenants cannot have the cats.

Please address to the tenants they are liable to the damages and to clean
up the shits if their docs and cats caused.

Thank you.

Kind regards.

Running kafka in distributed file system and storage

2016-10-08 Thread jupiter
Hi,

Can Kafka be configured (disable data distribution and replicas) in a HPC
environment where the parallel file system and distributed storage perform
the parallelism, replicas, and fault tolerant, the log and topic /
partitions can be viewed by multiple brokers in the VMs without needing
Kafka to distribute the data to brokers? Where such environment help or
hinder kafka performance?

Also, will one topic with large number of partitions be better performance
than large number of topics each with one partition in terms of resource
consumer and scalability?

Thank you.

Kind regards,

- j

Hi,

I found following post from achieve, but no any response. Any comments,

Hi All,

Does anyone have any performance metrics running Kafka on Ceph?

I briefly gathered at the 2016 Kafka Summit that there's an ongoing work
between the Kafka community and RedHat in getting Kafka running
successfully on Ceph. Is this correct? If so, what's timeline for that?

Thanks
Connie
