Re: GSoC proposal for CloudStack - Autodetect IP inside VM
Hi Bhumin, This feature has been mostly addressed by some recent pull requests. https://github.com/apache/cloudstack/pull/10376 (to use virsh command to get vm IP via qemu guest agent, merged) https://github.com/apache/cloudstack/pull/10431 (to support L2 networks) https://github.com/apache/cloudstack/pull/10641 (to fix an issue with vmware) They need to be reviewed, tested and merged. I think they are mostly done. -Wei On Sat, Apr 5, 2025 at 5:06 AM Bhumin Manodra wrote: > Hi Apache CloudStack Team, > > My name is Bhumin Manodra, a pre-final year student at college under > Mumbai University pursuing Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering. > > I hope you're all doing well! @bhumin , checkout https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/COMDEV/GSoC+2025+Ideas+list, Just a heads up ,do setup the project and raise the issues and PR to show your presence,it necessarily doesn't mean coding only, improving docs and starting quality discussion is a plus as well.
