Re: Have ARM, Intel and AMD in same cluster hosts

2024-09-12 Thread Rohit Yadav
Hi Sanjay,

  1.
No, each cluster should be of the same arch/distro/hypervisor. You may mix
Intel & AMD, but not ARM. Though it's assumed/advisable to have hosts in a
cluster homogenous & identical to avoid migration etc issues.
  2.
Yes, you can have Intel & ARM hosts based clusters in the same pod.

This is only suggested wrt the upcoming 4.20 release which introduces
multi-arch zones support - you can have arch-tagged clusters, hosts, templates,
isos to make this happen.

Regards.

Subject: Have ARM, Intel and AMD in same cluster hosts

Hello!

Can anyone help me out for below queries?

1. Can we have ARM, Intel and AMD in same cluster hosts?
2. Can we use Intel and ARM host in different cluster under same pod?

Any help would be really appreciated. Thank you!

Regards,
SK
