Re: [ANNOUNCE] 4.14 Freeze date

2020-03-14 Thread Daan Hoogland
H all, I've been working with Andrija and all of you to get as much I'm as
possible. We are now closed for features. Note however there are three
issues open for 4.13 which are blocking 4.14 as well. Please ask help in
discussing and finding fixes for those so we can release as soon as
possible.

Re: "[DISCUSS] 4.13.1 at the same time with 4.14"

Subject: "[DISCUSS] 4.13.1 at the same time with 4.14"

Hi all,

in order to avoid potential issues around upgrading 4.13.1.0 to 4.14.0.0 in
future (if we release 4.13.1.0 after 4.14.0.0), I would like to see what
the community thinks about us doing both releases at the same time?

The reason for asking is not just "yeah, great, let's do it" but the reason
is that community would have to do double the TESTING effort for both
releases during the voting process, at pretty much the same time.

Opinion?

Thanks,

I think that's a good idea. Mainly the databse upgrades are painful and
this makes it a lot easier.

We then have to merge a couple of things for 4.13.1 then :-)

We should prevent dragging the releases even further.

Playing with CS code

2020-03-14 Thread Alireza Eskandari
Hi,
The self isolation due to COVID-19, has been motivated me to learn
development of CS code :)
I'm not a java developer, but it can get rid of it.
I have deployed an IDE based on eclipse. Till now everything is working
fine. I can trace the code, build, debug and run it from eclipse. Something
that is very confusing for me is the amount of projects inside of CS. How
can I know how to use them? There are many classes that I don't even aware
of their existence! If you have any documents or resources about it, I will
appreciate to share it with me.
Thanks
