[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1754140] Re: Gnome gets stuck in overview mode
I have started getting this very bug after upgrade to hippo (21.04). Happens much more often when the "Activities" hot corner extension is enabled. But also happens without it... -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to ubuntu-meta in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1754140 Title: Gnome gets stuck in overview mode Status in ubuntu-meta package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: I'm running Ubuntu 17.10, and I have repeatedly had a problem with the desktop environment getting stuck in overview mode. When stuck, I can close and select windows, and access the menus at on the top bar, but I cannot exit overview mode. The only solution I've found is to log out and log back in. I'm not exactly sure what combination of circumstances causes it to happen, but it seems to happen more often if invoked via the corner hover point. It also happens in both Wayland and Xorg. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1927013] [NEW] gnome gets stuck in the overview mode
Public bug reported: It appears rather randomly and so is hard to reproduce reliably, but every once in a while the gnome gets stuck in the activities overview mode. Windows may be closed and the drop down menu in the right corner may still be accessed, but it is not possible to exit the overview mode without logging out of the shell. The frequency of the bug increases greatly if the "Activities hot corner" extension is enabled (which probably just makes entering this mode more frequent after random mouse moves). It appears both in Wayland and Xorg (though more often in Xorg). I might be mistaken, but it's possible that the bug also happens more often when there's some contextual menu open at the same when the switch to the overview mode is made. This bug started appearing for me only after upgrade to 21.04, so I am reporting it as a new bug even though similar things happened to various users earlier... ** Affects: gnome-shell (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Summary changed: - gnome get stuck in the overview mode + gnome gets stuck in the overview mode -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1927013 Title: gnome gets stuck in the overview mode Status in gnome-shell package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: It appears rather randomly and so is hard to reproduce reliably, but every once in a while the gnome gets stuck in the activities overview mode. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1913288] Re: gnome-screenshot doesn't copy the screenshot to clipboard, when using command line
Similar issue in 22.04 (gnome-screenshot v.41) If there is an instance of the utility running already, then the clipboard copy/paste works as intended. Otherwise, gnome-screenshot -ac doesn't copy anything into clipboard (although the sound is produced) or clears the clipboard when terminating... -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-screenshot in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1913288 Title: gnome-screenshot doesn't copy the screenshot to clipboard, when using command line Status in gnome-screenshot package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Executing gnome-screenshot with a -c flag doesn't copy the screenshot to clipboard.
