[Bug 335201] Re: gnome-settings-daemon grabs my keyboard and won't let go

2009-07-27 Thread xens
Same problem here! Using Karmic A3 uptodate (HP Pavillon dv3000)

Should we create a bug report to bugzilla.gnome.org? Is it an ubuntu or
gnome related bug?

I tried to investigate this bug without success. Going to a console
(CTRL+ALT+F1) and going back to tty7 unlock the keyboard and "solve the
problem"

[Bug 411802] [NEW] File roller is very slow to open big archives

2009-08-11 Thread xens
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: file-roller

Hi, I often work with large tar files (2 - 10 GB are backups of my
system). File roller always scan the whole archive before opening it.

For 2gb it takes 3 minutes to open for 10 gb 15 minutes, for 100gb.
one hour :)

It should scan only one directory level in the archive or scan the
archive "on the fly"

Thanks, Romain
