Same problem here! Using Karmic A3 uptodate (HP Pavillon dv3000) Should we create a bug report to bugzilla.gnome.org? Is it an ubuntu or gnome related bug? I tried to investigate this bug without success. Public bug reported: Binary package hint: file-roller Hi, I often work with large tar files (2 - 10 GB are backups of my system). File roller always scan the whole archive before opening it.
