Binary package hint: nautilus

I open a file with VLC and let nautilus open ... than nautilus freeze and I had 
to kill to close it. With ps I see it uses too cpu:

Not only, sometimes natilus process uses more than 1GB. 
Moreover sometimes it hangs browsing files.
 If I kill with SIGKILL and open again it can browse directories again.

I'm unable to get this bug again.
Nautilus never hang again. I did many many tests but I was never able to
repeat again what happened for about a week every day.
I don't know why.

Should I close the bug?

Now all's ok. I tried opening VLC and now X works perfectly. Maybe last
upgrades fixed the issue.

Opening a file with VLC or Totem Xorg crashes. The application start correctly, 
it happens when the file is played. 
Thinking it was a Compiz problem , I tryed under Unity2d but it still happens 
.. and again in Gnome.

The bug doesn't affect the same distro ona machine with  nvidia card. Is
that issue ATI related?
