[Bug 1426887] Re: Full screen app has a white stripe on top after switching to another window
** Attachment added: "after_alt_tab_ing.png" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-panel/+bug/1426887/+attachment/4331226/+files/after_alt_tab_ing.png ** Description changed: To reproduce: 1.) Open VLC (or SMplayer or any app in fullscreen mode). 2.) Start watching a movie and go to fullscreen mode. 3.) Alt+tab to another open application 4.) Alt+tab back to VLC After getting back to VLC you will see a white stripe on the top of the screen as on the attached screenshot. I have tried this with other applications like Firefox and the default video player (Totem). They produce a slightly different symptoms as they also have a white stripe on the left of the screen besides the top, but I would bet it is the same bug. In Totem the white stripes are also blinking a bit. I'm attaching 2 screenshots. 1.) After starting VLC where everything is okay. 2.) After alt+tab ing with VLC where the white stripe is already displayed. I'm using gnome-session-flashback (gnome-panel) with metacity. - I'm not sure which of them is responsible for his or if one of them even is but it seem they are the best candidates. + I'm not sure which of them is responsible for this or if one of them even is but they seem to be the best candidates. - I have also Xfce installed on the same machine and players started in + I have also installed Xfce on the same machine and players started in Xfce do not produce similar problems. [Bug 1502603] [NEW] Nautilus crashes on monitor setup change
Public bug reported: I use GNOME Flashback as a desktop environment where Nautilus provides the desktop service. Nautilus often crashes when I plug an external monitor on my computer or when I remove an external monitor. This happened to me several times on two different machines, my laptop and my desktop computer. I get the usual "Sorry, Ubuntu 15.04 has experienced an internal error." message and I see that the icons from my desktop are not appearing until I start nautilus again from the menu. I have clicked on the send error report for the same bug in apport several times. I would expect Nautilus to "survive" and similar action without problems. ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 15.04 Package: nautilus 1:3.14.2-0ubuntu9.1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.19.0-30.33-generic 3.19.8-ckt6 Uname: Linux 3.19.0-30-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.17.2-0ubuntu1.5 Architecture: amd64 Date: Sun Oct 4 14:35:06 2015 GsettingsChanges: InstallationDate: Installed on 2015-06-26 (100 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu-GNOME 15.04 "Vivid Vervet" - Release amd64 (20150422) SourcePackage: nautilus UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug vivid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1502603 Title: Nautilus crashes on monitor setup change To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1502603/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
