[Bug 2033377] Re: New whitespace between digits and colon in time at top of desktop screen

2023-08-30 Thread Tim Andersson
This isn't an issue in Lunar which has these packages installed:
```
ubuntu@ubuntu:~$ apt list --installed | grep fonts-noto
WARNING: apt does not have a stable CLI interface. Use with caution in
scripts.
fonts-noto-cjk/lunar,now 1:20220127+repack1-1 all [installed,automatic]
fonts-noto-color-emoji/lunar,now 2.038-1 all [installed,automatic]
fonts-noto-mono/lunar,now 20201225-1build1 all [installed,automatic]
```
However in Mantic:
```
ubuntu@ubuntu:~$ apt list --installed | grep fonts-noto
WARNING: apt does not have a stable CLI interface. Use with caution in
scripts.
fonts-noto-cjk/mantic,now 1:20220127+repack1-1 all [installed,automatic]
fonts-noto-color-emoji/mantic,now 2.038-1 all [installed,automatic]
fonts-noto-core/mantic,now 20201225-2 all [installed,automatic]
fonts-noto-mono/mantic,now 20201225-2 all [installed,automatic]
```

Does this suffice?

This bug was discovered by using autopkgtest. You can reproduce by
installing autopkgtest, auto-upgrade-testing and cloning auto-upgrade-
testing-specifications and running this from the parent directory:

sudo --preserve-env=AUTOPKGTEST_APT_SOURCES_FILE python3 -m
upgrade_testing.command_line -c auto-upgrade-testing-
specifications/profiles/ubuntu-lunar-mantic-ubuntucinnamon-
amd64_qemu.yaml --provision --results-dir /home/$USER/upgrade_cinnamon
--adt-args=--timeout-factor=10

I'll attach the full logs below. I'm also trying to recreate using an
lxd container

[Bug 2060266] Re: gnome-session.service [unity-session] uses deprecated --builtin parameter

2024-04-09 Thread Tim Andersson
I've also encountered this on the latest ubuntu-unity iso:
54d180e57790c951ca736606ac9951e3ddf4c1773432ac4ed23f5c4da40acfac
*noble-desktop-amd64.iso

when trying to do a fresh install in a VM, prior to opening the
installer, I'm greeted with the attached screen.

After clicking login, I get a black, blank screen momentarily, then I'm
booted back to the attached screen.

[Bug 2097285] [NEW] Login screen does not adopt user's night mode settings

2025-02-03 Thread Tim Andersson
Public bug reported:

This isn't a bug, it's a wishlist item :)

This could be a sub-issue of: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-
control-center/-/issues/2185

The login screen has no configuration preference at all, so there's a
bunch of pre-requisite work required to "fix" this.

I realised this when I was watching The Office (US) late at night, in
the pitch black, left for a few mins, came back and got flashbanged by
my login screen

[Bug 2100905] Re: FFe: poppler 25.03 transition

2025-03-05 Thread Tim Andersson
Hi Jeremy! Thanks for this FFe. I approved the Evince/Papers FFe
(https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-meta/+bug/2099693) the
other day, so this new FFe makes total sense. Let's definitely not get
stuck with a beta version of Papers for 25.04.

FFe Approved! Go ahead.

[Bug 2112383] Re: In the live session, occasionally the installer is unfocused, as if the user has entered the Super key

2025-07-09 Thread Tim Andersson
Just to be clear, the tests don't get stuck on it, I have a workaround,
it's just a bit of a finnicky thing to work around and I'd really prefer
to not have that in the test cases :)
