[Bug 539961] [NEW] Button to display attached images inline (inside evolution) does not work
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution When a message includes attached images, Evolution displays, for each image, a set of two buttons plus the name of the file. This appears inside the message screen, after all the message content. The leftmost button should toggle the inline display of the image (I've only tested with JPG images), but in my case it does nothing. Unfortunately, this does not happen with every image / message that I have tested, so I'm not completely sure of how to reproduce it. It seems to be related to either the total size of the attachments, or the number of attachments: a message with a single 200k attachment worked fine, but other combinations (single 2Mb attachment; 6 x 70k attachments; 6 x 70k attachments + 2 Mb attachment) reproduced the bug. [Bug 539961] Re: Button to display attached images inline (inside evolution) does not work
Unfortunately, I have to say that this is getting even stranger to reproduce. As I saw Pedro's request for examples, I went to the test messages I had sent myself to use them as examples, but... none of them reproduced the bug. I sent myself another one, and it worked fine as well. I then quit Evolution, started it again, went to this last message, and... the bug reproduced. Alt+tab, did something else, Alt+tab to Evolution -- and it worked fine again. Ouch. (BTW, I've only tested using IMAP.) Nevertheless, here are two files -- one is a screenshot after I tried clicking the inline button (the leftmost button, with an arrow pointing right), and the other one is the message viewed in that screenshot. ** Attachment added: "Screenshot" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/41163446/evolution_bug539961.png -- Button to display attached images inline (inside evolution) does not work https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/539961 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 285323] Re: Losing keyboard and mouse control when changing screen brightness with fn + arrow under intrepid
This bug affects me -- Dell Vostro 1000. As with DanL, pressing Fn+Up also makes volume go down. -- Losing keyboard and mouse control when changing screen brightness with fn + arrow under intrepid https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/285323 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-power-manager in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 285323] Re: Losing keyboard and mouse control when changing screen brightness with fn + arrow under intrepid
Trying to fix something else (sound problems), I ended up partially (almost completely) fixing this bug. The two problems I had disappeared: when I press Fn+up the keyboard does not lock, and volume is not changed. (What still feels buggy is that, when changing brightness levels, I get a very short flash of the screen in a different brightness setting, and then it goes to the appropriate level. OSD works fine, though.) What seemed to fix this was following a HOWTO for reconfiguring PulseAudio: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=789578. Could there be any relation? I'm not good enough in Ubuntu to diagnose that by myself, but I'm definitely willing to help if anyone wants to tell me what to do / look for.
